Latest Update: Lagos State University (LASU) Indigeneship Verification Exercise & Interview Date for 2023/2024 academic session HAS COMMENCED. DEADLINE IS Friday, 18th August, 2023.

All Candidates of Lagos State Origin who chose Lagos State University as First Choice in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 are hereby informed that the registration for Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2023/2024 Admission Exercise will commence from Thursday, 20th July and close on Friday, 18th August, 2023.


The Verification Interview will start on 8.00am - 4.00pm Daily ON Monday, 24th July, 2023..

Please, NOTE that the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee or serves as a proof of admission into the Lagos State University.


Candidates (Indigenes of Lagos State) who were screened and cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) last year, last two and three years (2021/2022 and 2022/2023 Academic Session) ,who have also chosen the Lagos State University for the 2023/2024 Admission are to read the information here.

LASU (IIVE) REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

Candidates can also fill and submit the LASU Indigeneship Verification Form online via the Indigeneship Verification Portal http://www.lasu.edu.ng/iive.

All Lagos State Origin Candidates are expected to to pay a non-refundable fee of Five Thousand (N5,000.00) Naira only into the Lagos State University account online through this link: www.lasu.edu.ng/iive.

After payment and successful submission of details online candidates will be contacted/required to present themselves for Verification interview.



Lagos State University (LASU) Indigeneship Verification Exercise Schedule 2023/2024  [First Choice Candidates Only]

The LASU Indigeneship Verification Exercise is for Candidates of Lagos State Origin only who chose LASU as FIRST CHOICE in the last UTME and scored a minimum of 195 marks. 

Dates for the Exercise is are as follows:

  • First Phase: Monday, 24th July, 2023 - Thursday, 27th July, 2023
  • Second Phase: Monday, 31st July, 2023 - Thursday, 3rd August, 2023
  • Third Phase: Monday, 7th August, 2023 - Thursday, 10th August, 2023
  • Mop-up: Monday, 14th, August, 2023 - Thursday, 17th August, 2023

ACCEPTABLE DOCUMENTS FOR IIVE EXERCISE FOR LAGOS STATE INDIGENES

  • 👉 Photocopy of Birth certificate of the Applicant
  • 👉 Photocopy of Birth certificate of the Applicant father
  • 👉 Evidence of Title to Landed property (Long-standing title usually over 50years)
  • 👉 Written Testimony from relevant Oba to certify claim to Lagos State
  • 👉 Written Testimony from Secretary to your Local Government Area
  • 👉 Certificate of Origin from local government
  • 👉 Original Jamb result
  • 👉 Olevel Result
  • 👉Passport photography


GENERAL INFORMATION:

Please NOTE that ONLY Candidates who are of Lagos State Origin are eligible for indigeneship screening. Candidates in this category are expected to be CLEARED by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) BEFORE being considered for admission.
