Latest Update: The Lagos State Scholarship board has announced the commencement of sales of form for new beneficiaries for the 2022/2023 session.


The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board wishes to inform indigenous students of Lagos State in tertiary institutions across the country and intending to be beneficiaries of either Bursary or Scholarship Award that application forms for both Awards for 2022/2023 academic year will be on sale from Thursday, 1st June; 2023 and closes by 12 midnight of Friday, 30th June; 2023.

REGISTRATION PORTAL will be open by 12 midnight of Thursday, 1st June; 2023 while closure of the portal will be 12 midnight of Friday, 30th June; 2023.

It is therefore advisable for intending beneficiaries to make sure that they purchase and fill their forms online on or before the closing date.

This is to announce to all Lagos State indigenes in Tertiary Institutions all over the country that application forms for the State’s 2023 Undergraduate Local Scholarship Award is now available.

The Requirements of the Scholarship are:
1. Evidence of indigeneship from:-(a) An Oba and (b) Local Government Council
2. Letter of Current Admission.
3. Student’s Identity Card.
4. Birth Certificate
5. Academic Certificates obtained
6. JAMB result slip
7. Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA) identification card of the applicant
8. Photocopy of the payment receipt
9. Downloaded application form
10. Any other documentary evidence

This is to notify Lagos State indigenes in Tertiary Institutions all over the country that application forms for the State’s 2022/2023 Local Scholarship Award will be available online.

PLEASE NOTE: 
The Lagos State Scholarship Board is the agency in charge of scholarship, bursary and other related matters within the state.

It grants Scholarship awards to deserving indigenes in various tertiary institutions for full time studies in order to assist these students financially.

Before Applying Please Read

Applicant must be a Lagos State Indigene studying in any tertiary institutions across the country
All applicants are required to make a Payment of N3,500.00 for Local Scholarship online via the Lagos State Scholarship Board online registration portal (https://portal.lagosscholarship.org/).

Generate a payment reference code, Proceed to make payment online. After successful payment proceed to fill online application form and submit.

Short-listed candidates for the qualifying test will be invited by email and SMS text messages. All applicants are therefore advised to ensure that valid GSM telephone numbers and personal email addresses are properly entered into the e-forms on the portal.

ELIGIBILITY / REQUIREMENTS

THIS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME IS FOR LAGOS STATE INDIGENES ONLY STUDYING IN ANY TERTIARY INSTITUTION ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

1. All applicants must have gained full time admission into an accredited Nigerian tertiary Institution.
2. All Under-graduate applicants:
i. Where CGPA scale is 7.0 (e.g University of Ibadan) he /she must possess a minimum of 4.9/7.0
ii. Where CGPA scale is 5.0 (e.g University of Lagos) he /she must possess a minimum of 3.5/5.0
iii. Where CGPA scale is 4.0 (e.g polytechnics and colleges of education) he /she must possess a Minimum of 2.8/4.0
iv. Where applicant is a medical student in 200L, option i, ii and iii applies
v. Where applicant is a medical student in 300L and above a minimum of Credit is required in their result
3. All applicants must be in their second year or above (i.e admitted on or before 2015/2016 academic session).
4. All applicants must have completed LASRRA Registration
5. All applicants must have a signed letter of identification from their respective Oba
6. All applicants must have a signed letter of identification from their respective local government
7. All applicants must purchase a Scholarship application form. (Payment of N2,000.00 for Local Scholarship) through Revenue Office of the Lagos State Scholarship Board.
8. All applicants must upload clear scanned copies of all documents to ascertain the genuineness of their claims. Documents like:
i. Admission Letter
ii. School Identity Card or Valid means of school identification
iii. Letter of identification from Oba
iv. Letter of identification from Local Government
v. SSCE result
vi. Lagos State Resident Registration Agency(LASSRA) registration card
vii. Passport Photograph (clear background not older than three months).
viii. Transcript or Result statement duly signed and stamped from school stating previous session CGPA results clearly
ix. Evidence of Consolidated Payment Confirmation Slip.
9. Shortlisted applicant must participate in a Computer Based Test conducted by Dragnet Solutions Limited in conjunction with Lagos State Scholarship Board.
10. Successful tested applicants will be contacted for oral interview

METHOD OF APPLICATION

  • Visit https://portal.lagosscholarship.org/ and click on continue registration on the tab
  • Fill in all required details to start the Application
  • Click on Start Application
  • A pop up will display a GENERATED PIN, write down the pin code for future references.
  • Click on PROCEED
  • A page will display SCHOLARSHIP OR BURSARY option, pick what you are applying for and Add the pin which was generated earlier on to the available tab.
  • Click on Continue
  • Then you will generate a Web GUID (it is a payment code that will process your payment) NB: Kindly write down the code for reference purpose
  • Click on Proceed to Payment
  • Make payment with your preferred option. (Note: it is besst to make payment with your card)
  • Click on Proceed
  • After completing the payment process, a successful page will be displayed
  • Click on the Print Revenue Receipt link below to generate evidence of payment
  • Go back to thee Lagos State Scholarship Board Homepage, Click on Payment Validator on the top tab.
  • Input your payment reference code (Web GUID)
  • Click on GENERATE APPLICATION ID
  • Payment successful page will be displayed, Stating your Application ID has been sent to your mail and Phone number.
  • Continue with filling the forms.
  • Doing all this successfully, you can say you are done with registering either for BURSARY or SCHOLARSHIP form.

Computer Based Test (CBT) Date, Time and Venue

The Lagos State Scholarship Board (LSSB) has announced the Computer Based Test (CBT) exam date, time and venue for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Date: To be Announced.

The examination is for students who are indigenes of Lagos State in vairous tertiary institutions across the country and have successfully applied for the State Local Scholarship Award.

All successful applicants are expected to have recieved a Mail and / or SMS, one week prior to the Computer Based Test (CBT) from Dragnet Solutions.

However, any applicant who did not recieve a Mail and or SMS from Dragnet Solutions one week prior to the Computer Based Test should quickly notify the Scholarship Board via email: [email protected] or call 08173331177.

There would be no make up test.
