The Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB Regularization is the process of ensuring that the Board validates candidates current admission details with the school that offered admission to such candidates in their database with the aim of either granting one gateway of securing admission via direct entry or proceed for service.ABUSE OF REGULARISATION/CONDONEMENT: FINAL NOTICE ON ILLEGITIMATE ADMISSIONS CONDUCTED BY SOME TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS.

JAMB ADVISORY TO INSTITUTIONS ON HOW TO HANDLE THE CONDONEMENT OF UNDISCLOSED ILLEGAL INSTITUTIONAL ADMISSIONS (CUIIA) (ADMISSIONS CONDUCTED OUTSIDE CAPS 2017-2020).
The Board introduced the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) in 2017 as the transparent platform for all admissions. Regrettably, some of the institutions continued to admit some, indeed large number of candidates (undisclosed to JAMB), thereby jeopardizing the interest of such candidates admitted through under-the table deals. Recent events made the candidates protest the disadvantages of such non-disclosure and lack of formal recognition of their degrees.
Such Institutions are now being compelled by necessity to confess their past deeds of undisclosed admission. This Advisory is to guide the affected institutions on how the candidates can be rescued:
i. The institutions should first and foremost declare the number of candidates admitted outside CAPS by sending a formal letter of confession and disclosure (LCD)tothe Registrar of JAMB.
ii. The letter of confession and disclosure should have the list of candidates attached. A copy of the letter and the list of candidates should be sent to JAMB state office where the institution is located. The list and total number of affected candidates for each year of admission should be clearly specified with the Programme (i.e Course of Study).
iii. If the Board upon receiving the letter (and after due scrutiny and investigations) grants approval, the institution shall be contacted within 2 weeks of acknowledged receipt of the LCD.
iv. The portal is then opened for the Institution to upload the list of candidates already submitted.
v. The letter of approval from JAMB to the institution and the uploaded list shall contain the following: • the academic year for which the retroactive approval is granted;
• total number of candidates, and
• the period of grace (not exceeding 60 days) within which the affected candidates must complete the process of Condonement of Undisclosed Illegal Institutional Admission (CUIIA).
Only the candidates declared by the institutions are to visit JAMB office and complete the appropriate form online after paying the prescribed fee (i.e) the application fee of N4,000 only is paid by those without JAMB Registration number for the year and N5,000 penalty paid by every candidate involved.
vi. The records of the candidates shall then be made available on CAPS after they have completed the online process.
vii. The Admission Officer of the Institution shall retroactively propose formally the candidates to the Head of Institution who in turn shall recommend the candidates within the specified time.
viii. The JAMB Desk officer too, shall retroactively approve the candidates on CAPS within the original list submitted by the institution. After approval, the previously illegal students will be able to print their JAMB admission letters from e-facility on JAMB Portal.
ix. It should be noted that the admission letter would henceforth carry the date of the retroactive approval and not backdated to protect the Board's integrity of the data it might have provided before the condonement.
The admission letter would also be named "Retroactive Letter of Admission" to reflect the correct history of the admission.
x. Please NOTE that only candidates on the list declared by the institutions shall be attended to at the JAMB office.
The Board shall not extend the period of grace granted to each institution. Any candidate that does not complete the process within the allotted (maximum two months) grace - period loses the remedial opportunity.

Aim/Purpose of JAMB Regularization/Validation/Late Application/Condonement of Illegitimate Admission
→The purpose of regularization is to ensure that JAMB have your current admission detail that tally with admission/registration record in the school that offered you admission.→This allows candidates with admission but with no prior record with JAMB ability to register on the platform.
→This Process is either called JAMB Regularization, Condonement of Illegitimate Admission Or Late Application Method!!!
This year 2021 regularization payment/procedures is quite similar to last year process, the only difference is the payment mode.
Candidates Required to Regularize Admission Includes:
1. Condonement of Illegitimate Admission (with Reg. Number) / Fresh Application - Those with JAMB Reg. Nos.
These are Candidates who gain admission with jamb registration number but does not have Jamb admission letter. Candidates can print their admission letter for their institution/course of choice, which is now different from their course/institution offered initially. A new admission letter can be printed after processing. You must remember your Reg. Number to use this service. The use of this service cost the sum of Five thousand naira (N5,000) only.2. Change of Admission Letter - Those with JAMB Reg Nos
These are Candidates who gain admission with jamb registration number, but the Admission letter carry a different course or institution name from the school that gave them admission.3. Condonement of Illegitimate Admission (Without Reg. Number) / Late Application - Those without JAMB Reg No

6. →Click on the Continue button if you wish to pay with your card immediately. If you wish to use other payment channels like ATM, Cash at the Bank and Quickteller, please note the transaction ID as it will be required.
7. On the Inter-switch Payment page, enter your card details and click on the Pay button.
8. →The status of your payment will be displayed on the “My Payment Section” An SMS and email containing your unique Transaction Identification and payment status will be sent to you after payment. Click on the Continue button.
9. →Once payment is completed, you will be asked to provide the following: a. Year of Exam and b. JAMB Registration Number

It has been observed that some students are still facing the problem of obtaining Jamb Admission letter. In order to find solution to this problem, JAMB has directed that all concerned students should visit any JAMB Accredited Centres for regularization of their admission.Depending on the type of problems, the following procedures are to be followed by the concerned students:

Student in this category should visit the JAMB Accredited Centre to fill the “Request for Admission Letter”.2. ADMITTED TO ANOTHER INSTITUTION
Student whose admission status is showing another institution should visit JAMB Accredited Centre to fill form for “Change of Admission Letter”.3. STUDENT WITH NO UTME/DE REGISTRATION NUMBER
This category of students needs to fill form for Regularization of Admission. Those that did not have JAMB record are to print their Indemnity Form and submit to the Registrar’s Office for processing.Failure to comply with the above directive may affect such category of students from being mobilized for NYSC after graduation.

This is to write and inform all Part-Time / Sandwich Students in all the Nigerian Tertiary Institutions (i.e Universities, Polytechnics, College of Education e.t.c) that in its efforts to have accurate data of undergraduate students in all the Nigerian Universities and other Tertiary Institutions, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has integrated the admission process of candidates of Part-Time Degree Programme into the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).In view of the above, all part-time students enrolled in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions are directed to visit the JAMB e-facility platform immediately and apply to register their documents individually (Following the Outlined Guidelines Above Illustrated with Images).
All Students are requested to carry out the process at any approved JAMB CBT Centre and fill JAMB indemnity Form.

ReplyDeleteHello, Kindly note that JAMB reserve the right to either approve or disapprove your application regardless of your payment. In-order to verify if your application was approved or disprove kindly visit any JAMB State office near you and request to confirm the status of your application through their own system, Otherwise visit your Head of Department or Institution who signed your indemnity form and request to know if they have forwarded the required details needed of them to JAMB Office via their Email Address. Apart from the mentioned solution above, i don't think we can help you further on this issue.

Bauchi, I was told dat during the process of doing my jamb regularization I wil hav to submit my indemnity form at the place I did my OND (Akperan) bt while doing it the operator fix Fed. Poly Bauchi and directed me to take my indemnity form there since that is where I might be mobilized for service. My worries is that am I not supos to submit this mentioned form at akperan? Make sure all details submitted are correct and your indemnity form was properly signed and stamped by your institution, hopefully if all these are followed your status will be approved in no distant time.

Do not patronize any Cyber-Cafes as they are not authorized to do any of such service. Deadline for Upload of O'Level Result can only be closed once choice of institution concludes their admission process for the session.

You are to apply for JAMB Regularization exactly stated in this post, which is different from someone who did JAMB, Offered Admission but ended up enrolling to another varsity without their JAMB Numbers which already secured admission.
DeleteLet me break it down a little for you... Candidates who applied for admission through JAMB and sat for UTME and were offered admission into another school by JAMB can either accept or reject the admission, but in a case such candidate failed to do any of the both and acquires admission into a different institution without JAMB, such candidate will be expected to apply for JAMB Change of Admission Letter.
In a case whereby a candidate never got admission via JAMB and enrolled for admission into a separate institution without JAMB number then upon graduation such candidate is expected to do the Regularization(Late Application) like you.
Old Part-Time Students are to follow same suite as candidates who had JAMB Number but never got any admission via JAMB.
But as from 2018 Fresh Part-Time Applicants will have to purchase the JAMB Part-Time Application form before they are been considered for admission into Part-Time programmes in any Nigerian Institution.

I would have advised you to reapply with your old number when purchasing the JAMB Part-Time/Distance Learning form, But all the same still liaise with JAMB Office to know if its safe to demand a new number in a fresh application. You can go ahead and apply as the board wont send you any message on when to apply.

You cant just regularize for admission into 200 level without purchasing the JAMB DE Form.

Hello Adewumi, if you obtained the UNILAG DLI Form, you are not expected to Regularize as Regularization is for Graduates. You are to purchase the JAMB Part-Time/Sandwich/DLI Form online before you will be considered for admission (Follow the link above for the process).

I want to be clear. Does that mean that a candidate in any of the above categories have to apply with a new registration number and can't use the old number? or what does it mean?
And for a candidate that is given admission in a particular institution, accepted the admission and later offered a different course in the same institution other than the course given by JAMB. Does such candidates need to regularize? if yes, with the old reg number or a new one?

Hello David Moses.... I mean there is no need to regularize your admission again if your REG Number was obtained through the normal JAMB application process and admission offered through JAMB. You can only regularize if you gained admission into any tertiary institution without JAMB approval. Hope you are cleared?

First, I got an admission from IMSU, through JAMB, then later that month, or the month after, I got an admission from FUTO (Federal University of Technology Owerri), though not from JAMB. Please note that both were my choices when registering for JAMB, and getting admission in 2013. My questions herein then goes, what are the possibilities of my regularization getting approved by JAMB? what do I need to do to ensure it does get approved? What credentials do I need to submit? Delete2. Just make sure you follow the necessary and due process including forwarding all documents to your school and make sure you follow them up to make sure they also submit the whole documents to JAMB, also avoid any mistakes when filling the form online to avoid getting disapproved.

ANY Complaints in regards to that must follow the due procedures outlined by the Board. Henceforth, issues of Regularization can only be treated and accepted from Institutions and not from individual.
