Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) Change of Course/Institution Price, Slip Printing and Step by Step Guidelines for UTME & Direct Entry Students For 2022/2023 Session - With Photo Procedures.

Latest Update: JAMB 2022 Change of Course/Institution Portal is now active, live and open for corrections for both UTME and DE Students.

NB: Candidates can only make payment from their individual JAMB Profile Account on the JAMB e-Facility portal for the above mentioned service but NOT allowed to effect changes / correction.

JAMB Accredited CBT centers are the only people ALLOWED to effect changes for candidates at the sum of N100.

Kindly Print out your payment Receipt online on your JAMB profile and OTP CODE after making payment for any correction and proceed with it to the JAMB Approved CBT Centers to effect your change.

READ: JAMB CORRECTION OF DATA PROCEDURE FOR CANDIDATES WHO HAVE LOST THEIR SIM CARDS - ADVISORY ON ATTENDING TO CANDIDATES REQUESTING FOR CORRECTION OF DATA AND CHANGE OF INSTITUTION / PROGRAMME WHO CLAIM NOT TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE SIM CARD USED FOR UTME/DE REGISTRATION

1. This advisory must be carefully read and implemented alongside the decisions taken during a zoom meeting held on July 16, 2021 with CBT centres, JAMB State Coordinators and Partners on the introduction of the use of OTP in place of biometrics verification.
2. The Board introduced the use of OTP (one Time Password) which is sent to a candidate’s registered phone number in place of biometrics verification to prevent the spread of the Covid-19. The OTP must be presented before correction of data can be carried out on the candidate’s UTME/DE registration.
3. Some candidates claim they no longer have access to the same SIM which they registered with for the UTME/DE.
4. The following is the process of how such a candidate can be allowed to effect correction of data on his/her UTME/DE registration.
a. The candidate must approach any of the JAMB Offices in person (not by proxy) as this service can only be carried out in JAMB Offices/Professional Test Centres (PTCs) Nationwide;
b. At the JAMB Office, the candidate should supply any of registration number, email and GSM number which the candidate used to register for the UTME or DE;c. The JAMB Official attending to the candidate directs the system to RESEND the OTP through email;
d. The candidate goes and prints a copy of the email which contain the OTP;
e. The candidate affixes a copy of his/her passport photograph to the printed email and presents it to the JAMB Official;
f. The JAMB Official after confirming that the same person whose picture is affixed on the printed email is the same person whose picture is displayed on the screen proceeds to complete the correction of data.
g. A copy of the printed email with the candidate’s affixed passport must be retained at the JAMB Office for any candidate whose correction of data was carried out with OTP sent through email.

NOTE: ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD CORRECTION OF DATA BE DONE BY PROXY.

STEP ONE.
Log in to your JAMB Profile/Account using your Username and Password. If you are a new user you shall be required to create a profile via the Sign Up (New User) Page, ,you will provide your valid email address, surname, first name, Mobile No, State and LGA of Origin and password, then click on the Sign Up button. Each candidate is entitled to only one profile.

STEP TWO
After successful login on the left hand side of the portal, locate the Registration Button (2022) OR  Application for Correction of Data (2021 Downward) and click on it, then select UTME OR DE Data Correction From the drop-down menu.

NOTE: [You can only perform Gender Correction, State/LGA Correction, Choice of Institution/Course Correction via this section] Others such as: Names Correction, Date of Birth, Passport Photograph Correction, UTME Subjects can be corrected via the Application for Correction Of Data Link still at the left hand side of the portal too.

STEP THREE
The next page to be displayed after following step 2 is to select the specific correction you wish to make i.e Change of Course / Institution OR Other Corrections. Choose any and proceed to the payment page. Payment will be done online via the Remitta Platform with your Master Card, Visa Or Verve Card, so get it ready and click on the Make Payment Button.

STEP FOUR
You will be redirected to the JAMB Payment Confirmation Page. Please review and Click The Continue To Payment Button To Make Payment.

STEP FIVE
The Next page to be opened is the JAMB e-Facility Payment Notification Page. Just Proceed to the next step by clicking on the Pay Now Button.

STEP SIX
You will now be redirected to the Remitta Payment Page. This Page might be slow in loading, Do not Refresh and please make sure you have a strong and stable network if not you will have to start the process allover from Step 1 again when the page fails to load.

STEP SEVEN
Once it loads you will be required to Input Your Full Name [i.e The Full Name On Your Debit Card], Select Your Payment Method and fill in your Debit Card Details without any mistake. Click the Submit Button to move on

STEP EIGHT
Wait for the Remitta Page to Connect to the Payment Gateway to confirm your Card Details and Charge your account, The Process should not take upto 5Seconds

STEP NINE
You will be redirected next to your Bank Payment Confirmation Page. Please follow the instructions there, Am currently Using the Diamond Bank Visa Card so all i need to do is just input my 4digit Internet I-pin, Other Bank might send a confirmation SMS to your Mobile Number. Once successfully verified See Step 10

STEP TEN
Once You done with the online payment you will be redirected to the JAMB e-Facility Page which will now Display your Transaction as Approved. Click on the Continue Button.

NB: AS FROM STEP ELEVEN BELOW ARE OLD STEPS WHEN JAMB PORTAL WAS ACTIVE FOR ALL CANDIDATES AND CYBERCAFES TO EFFECT CHANGES, CURRENTLY ONLY CBT CENTERS ARE ALLOWED TO EFFECT CHANGES.

STEP ELEVEN
Now you can now successfully correct the changes you need on the UTME/DE Data Correction Page, Just Tick on the Icon or Box you wish to make changes and allow it load. As for me i selected Change of Course/Institution.

STEP TWELVE
Make the desired changes of your choice and click on the Save Changes Button to Print Out Your Slip. Please if you are using IDM on your Computer make sure you set it to intercept all downloads before beginning or else it might fail to catch the download.

STEP THIRTEEN
After Saving Changes and you still cant Print out the Slip don't worry Just Follow Step 2 again to see the Re-Print Button to download again.

STEP FOURTEEN
Your Printed Slip Should Look like the sample below for Change Of Course/Institution Students:

The above steps and image illustration was a practical example of changes we did for one of our Student, which we deemed necessary to share with others, we hope with the above guidelines none of you will find it hard making changes of course/institution when the need arises.

Please be careful and think very well before making any changes be it Course or Institution as this change can only be carried out ONCE.
