Babcock University (BU) UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Admission Form, Courses, Cut-Off Mark, Eligibility, Duration, Application Guidelines and Deadline for 2022/2023 Academic Session.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admissions into Babcock University (BU), for 4, 5, or 6 year Degree Courses for the 2022/2023 academic session.

APPLICATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE ON-LINE BEGINNING FROM - 4th July, 2022.

NB: CANDIDATES AWAITING 2022 WAEC/NECO/SSCE RESULTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS BEFORE MATRICULATION.

All candidates who APPLY to Babcock University are REQUIRED to sit for the current JAMB examination (for 100 Level) or apply for JAMB Direct Entry admissions (for Direct Entry).

Candidates applying for Transfer Admissions need to present JAMB Admission letter, Transcript and Attestation Letter from the previous University.

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum qualification for the First Degree Programs: 5 credits at the GCE/SSCE/NECO Examinations or their equivalent (at not more than 2 sittings); one sitting only for Medicine & Surgery. 
  • Candidates below 16 years of age are advised not to apply.

Babcock University has released the approved minimum score for the 2022/2023 Admissions

The approved cut off mark for admission is 170.

Requirements: 5 credits in GCE/SSCE/NECO including English Language, History/Government and any other 3 subjects.

Department of Languages and Literary Studies

Degrees Offered: 1.) B.A. (Hons.) English Studies

Requirements: For 1.) and 2.) above, 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English and any other three subjects. For 2.) above, a credit pass in French may be considered in place of Literature in English.

Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, and any other four subjects.

Direct Entry: In addition, holders of NCE, OND, HND in Music or its equivalent can apply for Direct Entry. Applicants should also have 5 credits including English Language or Grade II with passes at merit level in 5 subjects.

SCHOOL OF LAW & SECURITY STUDIES

Department of Law

Degree Offered: LLB. (Hons) Law

Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English, Mathematics and any other two social science subjects.

Direct Entry: Advanced level in Higher School Certificate or Bachelor of Arts degree in any related course from any accredited University with second class lower division and above.

Candidates must present their transcripts and O’ level results- as stated in the O’ level requirements above.

SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

Department of Accounting

Degree Offered: B.Sc. (Hons) Accounting

Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant subjects.

NOTE: A pass in Economics may be considered provided the candidate has a credit in Accounting or Commerce.

One year professional training: All BSc Accounting students may after completion enroll for one year into the professional class to sit ACA/ACCA/CITN/CIMA Certification Examinations.

Such students should have been processed for exemptions under MOU with various professional bodies after their BSc Certification at the end of the fourth year.

Internship: All ACCA registered students will be attached to some designated companies for practical experience during long holidays from 100 Level to 400 Level as part of the MOU with ACCA.

Department of Banking & Finance

Degrees Offered: B.Sc. (Hons.)/ACIB in Banking & Finance(4-year program)

B.Sc. (Hons.) Banking & Finance

Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant Social Science subjects.

Direct Entry: In addition to the 5 credits in the subjects stipulated at O’level, OND holders in Banking & Finance are eligible to apply.

2.) Agronomy & Landscape Design (5-year Program)

Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Agricultural Science and other subjects with at least, a pass in Physics / Geography, Home Economics or Food & Nutrition or Mathematics.

Direct Entry: HND with at least a lower credit pass in relevant disciplines. A minimum of pass in Mathematics is mandatory.

Department of Medical Laboratory Science

Degree Offered: BMLS (Hons) Medical Laboratory Science

Requirements: 5 credits (not more than two sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Direct Entry:
a.) In addition to the 5 credits in the subjects stipulated at O’level, candidates must have pass in GCE at Advance Level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology).

b.) In addition to the 5 credits in the subjects stipulated at O’level, graduates with at least a second class honour degree (lower division) in related disciplines are eligible to apply.

c.) In addition to the 5 credits in the subjects stipulated at O’level, Medical Laboratory Technician certificate holders are also eligible to apply.

SCHOOL OF NURSING SCIENCE

Department of Nursing Science

Degree Offered: BNSc. (Hons.) Nursing Science

Requirements: Candidates seeking admission into the school of nursing science programme for bachelor of nursing sciences degree must satisfy the minimum university requirements for admission to the degree programme which includes an acceptable pass at the university screening test.

They must in addition to the above, have minimum of credit (C) level passes at the senior secondary school certificate examination (SSCE) or its equivalent in five subjects, at not more than two seating, which must include English language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.

Registered Nurses (RN) with credit level passes in the SSCE subject as listed above, and candidates with Advance Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics with a A, B and C grades may be admitted by Direct Entry into 200 level provided they satisfy other University admission requirements.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Step 1: VISIT http://application2.babcock.edu.ng to start the application process. Create login details with a valid email address and telephone number to obtain your Password 
Step 2: Log-in with your Username as your email address and Password as sent to the email address supplied in step 1.
Step 3: On the Left Panel do the following:
  • · Click to fill Form. Make sure you fill all information requested for.
  • · Click button to save form if you have filled every information.
  • · Upload your Passport Photograph according to the specified size, and JPG or PNG format.
  • · Select Screening Centre and Date of Screening.
Payments: Take the APPLICATION ID to the bank (Wema, Diamond, GTB, FirstBank, UBA). Tell the Teller you are paying for Babcock Application Fees via eTranzact platform. The fee is ₦2,000.00. Service charge is ₦350.00. Total ₦2,350.00.

Step 4: Once payment is done, then log in to the application system and Click Submit.
