The Fountain University Graduates 284 Students, 23 Bags First Class Degree Honors During 7th Convocation Ceremonies for 2017/2018 Academic Session.
No fewer than 284 Students graduated from the Fountain University, Osogbo during the 7th Convocation and 10thAnniversary Ceremonies of the institution which took place at the Hajia Amina Namadi Sambo Hall on Sunday 14th January, 2018.The Vice Chancellor Professor Abdlateef Usman disclosed that a total number of 284 students that were graduated, 23 bagged First Class degrees, 107 made Second Class Honours {Upper Division}, 128 made Second Class Honours {Lower Division] while 26 were in the Third Class Division.
Professor Abdlateef Usman Charged the graduates to be focused and make positive impact in the society. In his address of welcome, the Vice Chancellor urged the graduates to be determined, reminding them that one of the very important tools being taught in Fountain University is the fear of Allah and the analytical mind to identify and determine the right from the wrong direction.
He added that after the duration of their learning in Fountain University, the students have been both academically and morally moulded to be good and responsible individuals anywhere they go.
The Executive Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has charged the graduates of Fountain University Osogbo to be good ambassadors of the institution and the nation, emphasizing that they should strive to be the solution providers to challenges facing the society.
He also urged the students to study their environment, identify its problems and find solutions to them.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion include the Chancellor, Fountain University, Sheikh Ahmed Lemu, the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Alhaji Abdwaheed Adeola, Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the University Council, Professor Ishaq Oloyede and President, NASFAT Worldwide, Engineer Kamil Bolarinwa, members of the University Management, lecturers, parents and well-wishers.
