The Nasarawa State Polytechnic Management Refutes and Denies Allegation of Financial Scandal in Newspaper Headline Title "NASPOLY In Another N12M Financial Scandal"
The Acting Rector, Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia Mr. Augustine Ali Gabu , has dismissed a Newspaper report alleging that the Management is involved in 12 million naira financial scandal.Acting Rector was reacting to a report credited to The EYEWITNESS Newspaper with a headline "NASPOLY in another N12M Financial Scandal" in which the reporter claimed that the Management collected N3,000 from candidates seeking admission for collection of Admission Letters and failed to issue them with letters and another N3,000 for change of Institution.
Mr. Gabu described the report as untrue, misleading and gross misinformation ,calling on the Editor of the Newspaper to retract the story and tender unreserved apology to the Management of the Polytechnic.
The Acting Rector called on the Public to disregard the Newspaper report stressing that the Management is doing everything possible to ensure strict compliance with the rules and regulations governing admission exercise.
Mr. Gabu who described the report as a figment of the Reporter's imagination called on Journalists to always cross-check their facts before rushing to press, stressing that the Management is committed to ensuring the growth and development of the polytechnic , having seen the good intention of the Nasarawa State Government in sanitizing the system, which led to the setting up of Investigative Committee for the Polytechnic recently.
