Salford - Africa Excellence Undergraduate & Postgraduate Scholarships - 2018/2019

Apply for the Salford - Africa Excellence Scholarships Award [£3,000] for Undergraduate & Postgraduate Students for the 2018/2019 Academic Session.

The University of Salford welcomes students from Africa and has a large alumni network, particularly in West and East Africa. To show our continued commitment and our continued work in the region, the University is offering a number of scholarships to support high achieving students from selected Sub-Saharan Africa countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

Eligibility:

For applicants to Undergraduate Programmes - you must have an offer of admission and achieved AAA or an equivalent achievement in your high school qualification.

  1. Nigeria: A levels at grades ABB; OND with grade of Distinction; Recognised foundation year at 70%; First year of a university degree with GPA of 3/4
  2. Ghana: A levels at grades ABB; Recognised foundation year at 70%; First year of a university degree with GPA of 3/4
  3. Cameroon: A levels at grades ABB; Baccalaureat = Minimum 14/20; First year of a university degree with GPA of 3/4
  4. Zimbabwe: A levels at grades ABB; Recognised foundation year at 70%
  5. Kenya: A levels at grades ABB; Ordinary Diploma at 60%; University Diploma at 60%
  6. Uganda: A levels at grades ABB; UACE with 3 subjects at BBB or above
  7. Tanzania: A levels at grades ABB; ACSE/EAACE with 3 subjects at BBB or above

For applicants to Postgraduate Programmes – you must have an offer of admissions; achieve at least a Second Class Upper; and meet the conditions of your offer by the admissions deadline.

  1. Nigeria: Bachelors at Second Class Upper
  2. Ghana: Bachelors at Second Class Upper
  3. Cameroon: Bachelors with a GPA 3.0 (Anglophone and Francophone systems)
  4. Zimbabwe: Bachelors at Second Class Upper
  5. Kenya: Bachelors at Second Class Upper
  6. Uganda: Bachelors at Second Class Upper
  7. Tanzania: Bachelors at Second Class Upper
