Over the past five years, the University of Salford has awarded more than £5 million in scholarships and bursaries to support high-achieving students in their Salford study experience. Our international graduates are now successfully working across the world, contributing to their communities and applying the knowledge and experience gained during their time at the University to make a positive impact.For September 2018 intakes and beyond, the University is proud to launch a new range of scholarships aimed at supporting international students who are committed to pursuing their studies at the University of Salford, and will benefit from the Salford experience.
Unless specified, our international scholarships are available to full-time, on-campus, self-funding students who have been assessed as international students for fee purposes and are applying for the first year of study of an undergraduate Bachelors or postgraduate taught Masters programme.
The new scholarship programme includes:
- Academic Scholarships by Programme - Academic scholarships that support applicants to specific programmes of study
- Academic Scholarships by Region - Academic scholarships that support applicants from specific regions
- Partner Scholarships - Academic scholarships that support applicants from our global partner organisations and institutions
- Salford International Excellence Award - New for 2018 intake, and to celebrate the University's commitment to international students, the Salford International Excellence Award is an open call to applicants who can offer high academic achievement, substantial professional experience, or significant community, entrepreneurial, or other engagement to the University.

School of Computing, Science & Engineering is offering a limited
number of high value scholarships to high achieving applicants across
undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The CSE International
Excellence Scholarship is worth £3,500 and is based on academic
merit. |
| Petroleum and Gas Masters International Excellence Scholarships | Scholarships of £5,000 are available to applicants to our premier programmes focusing on the petroleum and gas industries. Based on academic merit, to applicants to the MSc Petroleum and Gas Engineering and MSc Gas Engineering and Management. |
| Salford - Public Health International Excellence Scholarships | In recognition of the global importance of Public Health as a discipline and the School’s institutional membership with ASPHER. The University of Salford is offering high value scholarships to MSc Public Health applicants based on academic merit. |
| Salford MBA International Excellence Scholarships | Salford
Business School is offering scholarships of £5,000 to applicants with
high-level qualifications and work experience to the MBA programmes.
Available to high achieving applicants to the MBA, these scholarships
are based on academic merit. |
| Salford Architecture International Excellence Scholarships | Architecture at Salford has been ranked in the QS top 50 universities in the world. To celebrate this global achievement, the School of Built Environment is offering high value scholarships to Masters Architecture and First Year BSc Architecture applicants, based on academic merit. |

| GREAT China Scholarships (China) | In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Campaign, the University will be offering four scholarships to students from China applying for selected programmes in the areas of Postgraduate Business, Arts and Media and the Built Environment. |
| ICETEX Scholarships (Colombia) | Six scholarships are available for students from Colombia in selected postgraduate taught programmes in partnership with ICETEX |
| IPFE Scholarships (Peru) | Four scholarships are available for students from Peru in selected postgraduate taught programmes in partnership with IPFE. |
| Salford- loveUK Scholarships (Mexico) | Two
scholarships are available for students from Mexico in either
undergraduate or postgraduate taught programmes. |
| Salford- India Scholarships | Scholarships of £3,000 are available to high achieving students from India, based on academic merit. |

| Salford- Africa Scholarships | Scholarships of £3,000 are available to high achieving students from selected sub -Saharan African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, based on academic merit. |
| Salford- South East Asia Scholarships | Scholarships of £3,000 are available to high achieving students from selected South- East Asian countries: Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia,and Myanmar, based on academic merit. |

| Chevening Scholarships | Chevening Scholarships are the UK government's global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. |
| Salford- NCUK Scholarships | Northern Consortium of UK universities (NCUK) and the University of Salford are offering joint excellence scholarships at both undergraduate and postgraduate level to students studying via the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY), NCUK Pre Masters Programme (PMP) and the NCUK International Year One ( IY1). |
| Salford- CSCSE HND Scholarships | The University of Salford has a long-standing partnership with the Chinese Service Centre for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE). Scholarships are available from applicants from CSCSE who have studied the SQA HND and achieve AB/AAB plus IELTS 6.0 ( minimum 5.5 in all bands). |
| Salford- Commonwealth Scholarships | Commonwealth Scholarships in the UK are funded by the Department for International Development (for developing Commonwealth countries) and the Department for Education (for developed Commonwealth countries), in conjunction with UK universities. |
Salford International Excellence Award
If you are an applicant who has an offer of admissions to a programme of admission to a programme of study or region where there is no specific scholarship, you may want to apply to our special Salford International Excellence Award. Based on application, and judged through the International Scholarships Committee, Salford International Excellence Awards begin at £1,000 and you could be awarded up to £5,000.For full details of this exciting new scholarship, please read the Salford International Excellence Award page.
Please note, you may apply for a Salford International Award if you have already been awarded a scholarship, however, in line with the International Scholarships Terms and Conditions, you can receive only one scholarship and this will be the one of the highest value.

Loyalty Discount for Salford Alumni
If you complete an eligible programme of study at Salford, you will may be entitled to a discount of 20% off your fees if you take another programme with us.This bursary is available if you take an undergraduate (Bachelors) course at Salford and decide to move onto a postgraduate taught ( Masters) programme of study; or if you have completed a postgraduate taught Masters and are accepted onto a postgraduate research ( PhD) programme.
The Loyalty discount is available for eligible programmes that are full-time and on-campus, and where applicants are self-funding students. The Loyalty Discount is available for all students, whether Home, EU or International, for fee purposes.
Please note, you may apply for the Loyalty Discount if you have already been awarded a scholarship, however, in line with the International Scholarship Terms and conditions, you can receive one scholarship and this will be the one of the highest value and of most benefit to you.

Early Payment Discount
If you pay your fees in full, before or on enrolment, you can receive a Prompt Payment discount of 3%.
