The Lagos State University, LASU Management Signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) With Five Leading Firms On partnerships to Train Student's of the University in Entrepreneurial Skills in Different Fields of Knowledge.
As the Vice Chancellor, Prof Olanrewaju Fagbohun and his lieutenants, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Oyedamola Oke and the Registrar, Mr Lewis Akinwunmi signed the spiral binded documents at one end of the table, the leaders of the five firms who have been chosen by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Studies (CES) were signing the dotted lines at the other end.After the signing exercise ended, the LASU Numero Uno called the Companies representatives one after the other and with warm handshakes and presented the signed MoU to them.
That gesture signalled the birth of new partnerships and the writing of a fresh history in the 34 year old institution.
The story: Earlier YESTERDAY, Monday 19th January, 2018, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Olanrewaju Fagbohun hosted the leaders of five leading firms to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on partnerships to train Student's of the University in Entrepreneurial Skills in different fields of knowledge.
The meeting took place at the instance of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Studies of the University, at the Vice Chancellor's Conference Room, Main Campus, Ojo
The Five organizations, Victor Eriabie & Associates (Grapho- Psychology), Aries SYSTEMSCOM Technical Engineering Ltd, ShelterCare Partners Ltd ( Building Logistics), Westgate Resources Development Centre (Human Resource Dev), El-Zade Security and Technical Ltd (Security) were selected from a pool of other interested organizations by the CES to partner with the University in giving practical training to LASU Students who take the Entrepreneurship Course.
The partnership will give Students of the University opportunity to acquire practical training from leaders in different industries at no extra costs, in what is another effort of the University Management to give the LASU Students an edge over their contemporaries in the country.

When we talk about Entrepreneurship, it is not just teaching them theory. It's about giving them the practicalsIn their respective responses, the leaders of the partner firms were full of optimism for the project, thanking the University for the opportunity and assuring that within the next one year, Students of the Lagos State University and the institution as a whole will be the better for it.

The Registrar while giving the vote of thanks urged the firms to hit the ground running and make the project one that all the partners can be proud of.
