Post-COVID-19: Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Resumption Date for JUPEB and Pre-Degree Students for 2019/2020 Academic Session.

Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU) Resumption Date For Pre-Degree Students 2019/2020.

Authorities of the Centre for distance learning Obafemi Awolowo University, have announce resumption date for it’s Pre-degree Students.

THERE memo stated that the students of the pre-degree programme are to resume from Monday, 21st September, 2020 in the following order:

– BCP COMBINATION ONLY: Monday, 21st September, 2020 (Time 8:00am).

–OTHER COMBINATION: Tuesday, 22nd September, 2020 (Time 8:00am).

To make this resumption as hitch free as possible in the face of the ongoing pandemic, the center has put various measures in place.

These include:
1. Pedal operated hand wash machine.
2. Infrared Thermometers
3. Customized face masks, which students who do not come in with their own face masks can obtain at the cost of five hundred naira (#500) for a pair; and
4. Arrangements for social distancing in halls and classrooms.

In addition to the above, parents should kindly take note of the following items of information:
1. All returning students are to report in the school and not to their respective hostels.
2. Every student must obtain a clearance form from the school before being allowed into the hostel.
3. Students should come with light load.
4. All students must come to school with personal face masks and hand sanitizers which will be checked at the point of entry.

Finally, dear parents these are challenging times for every organization, management would therefore like to parents to support the center’s office aimed at keeping Covid-19 off its campus by donating face masks and hand sanitizers in the centre.

These can be for through your wards or forwarded directly to the centre for distance learning Obafemi Awolowo University, Moro Campus. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated.

OAU Resumption Date for 2019/2020 Academic Session Not Yet Announced, Ignore Rumours Circulating Online.

The attention of the authorities of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, has been drawn to a circular purportedly issued and signed by the University Registrar which has gone viral. The University Management wishes to officially inform our students at all levels, their parents and guardians, that the said circular is fake and malicious both in content and context and it should be disregarded in its entirety.

Obafemi Awolowo University is a Federal Government owned institution and the instruction to go on recess in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, in the month of March 2020, by the Federal Government has not been reversed.

Accordingly, we want to use this medium to urge our students to remain calm, and await authentic information from the University Management as soon as the Federal Government gives the go-ahead to reopen the University.

We appreciate the patience of our students and we advise them to always remain safe.

OAU Resumption Date for JUPEB Students for 2019/2020 Academic Session

Authorities of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has announced the resumption date of JUPEB students for the conclusion of the 2019/2020 session of the JUPEB Programme.

RECOMMENDED: OAU Academic Calendar Schedule for 2019/2020 Session.

This is to inform all JUPEB students that resumption date for the completion of the 2019/2020 session has been fixed for Thursday, 13th and Friday, 14th August, 2020 respectively for revision and final examination, scheduled to hold from 7th September to 18th September, 2020.

  • BCP Combination only: Thursday, 13th August, 2020
  • Other Combinations: Friday, 14th August, 2020.
