The Authorities of the University of Jos [UNIJOS] wishes to inform all freshers/newly admitted students that the registration and clearance exercise for 2021/2022 academic session has commenced
UNIJOS Registration exercise for fresh undergraduate students (Full-time) for the 2021/2022 Academic Session shall commence on Monday 18th October, 2021. Fresh students, Central Registration Officers, Faculty Officers, Departmental Officers, e.t.c. are please expected to take note of the following registration procedures:
Candidates are to confirm or check their names via https://portal.unijos.edu.ng/Account/CheckAdmission before proceeding with registration exercise.
Fresh Students are expected to commence the process of the online
registration after which they should present themselves for physical
screening at the University.
All fresh Students are advised to pay the School Charges of Forty-Five
Thousand Naira only (N45,000.00), when they have met the minimum
requirements for the programme that they have been admitted into as
contained in the 2021 JAMB Brochure.
Latest Update: Management of the University of Jos has approved the continuation of the Registration exercise for Fresh Undergraduate as well as Returning Students of the University for the 2021/2022 Academic Session which commences from Monday, 10th January, 2022. All Fresh Undergraduate Students who have paid the N25,000.00 Pre-Registration Fees are to log on to the University of Jos website www.unijos.edu.ng to pay the approved N20,000.00 as the balance of their School Charges while Returning Students are to pay N45,000.00 as their School Charges.
Management has also approved that First Semester Lectures for the 2021/2022 Academic Session will commence from Monday, 17th January, 2022.
Late Registration for Fresh Undergraduate and Returning Students will take place between Monday, 24th January and Friday, 11th February, 2022. Additional Charges of N10,000 will be paid as penalty for Late Registration.
Please, note that Students who are yet to Register by Friday, 11th February, 2022 would be deemed to have forfeited their Studentship and will no longer be considered as Students of the University of Jos irrespective of their Levels of Study.
All Students are strongly advised to be wary of unsolicited approaches from fraudsters under the guise of rendering them assistance to enable them Register. They should also avoid patronizing road side Business Centres for any transaction pertaining the University of Jos as the University will not be held liable for any breach in such transaction.
UNIJOS Registration Exercise Guidelines for all Fresh Undergraduate Students for 2021/2022 Academic Session
The University Management at its special meeting held on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 deliberated on the commencement of the 2021/2022 Academic Session resumption and affirmed that both Returning and Fresh Students should commence registration for the session as from Monday, 18th October, 2021. Management also directed that fresh students should pay the initial twenty five thousand naira (N5,000.00) Pre-registration fee and thereafter pay the remaining balance of twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00) to complete school charges.
All Returning students are to pay the fourty five thousand naira (N45,000.00) requisite school charges.
1. Check Admission Status and Print Admission Slip
To check admission status and print admission slip, all fresh undergraduate students are toa. Visit https://mis.unijos.edu.ng/ug/portal/admissions
b. enter JAMB No OR First Name OR Surname and click Search
d. Click Access Code. Note and read and/or download the registration procedure
e. Click Close. Note and print the admission slip which contains your unique access code
2. Payment of School Charges by Students
After confirming eligibility, all fresh students should proceed to pay the school charges as follows:
1. visit www.unijos.edu.ng
2. Click on PORTAL
3. Select Students' Portal
4. Click on the Login button to continue
6. Type your email in the username box
7. Type in the password (you used during POST UTME screening registration)
8. Click Login to logon to your personalized dashboard
9. Click on Fee Management menu on the left side of the dashboard
10. Select Acceptance (Pre-Registration) from the select payment drop-down menu
11. Click on Select Payment button and follow the prompt to complete payment.
3. Bio-data Registration by Students
After successful payment of School Charges, all fresh undergraduate students should proceed for bio-data registration as follows:a. visit https://mis.unijos.edu.ng/ug/portal/
b. Click Bio-Data Registration, Click Proceed, enter JAMB registration, Enter Access Code and click Proceed
c. Fill in the online bio-data form – comprising personal information, next of kin detail, O’level qualification, certificates obtained, contact/login details and payment details as well as passport and signature upload.
d. Click Complete Registration to generate the completed bio-data registration form
e. Finally, print five (5) copies of the completed bio-data forms
f. Proceed to your respective Department/Faculty Registration Officer

5. Departmental Registration
Fresh students should meet their respective Department Registration Officers with the following:a. Evidence of payment of school charges
b. Original and photocopies of credentials claimed i.e. O Level/A Level examination results
c. Five (5) copies of completed student’s bio-data registration forms
d. JAMB Result/Registration slip
e. Birth certificate/sworn declaration of age
f. Indigene certificate or an affidavit from the Federal High Court
g. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB scratch card for results checking and
h. Court affidavit to be of good conduct and non-membership of secret cult
Thereafter, obtain clearance (if successfully screened) and proceed for Faculty registration
6. Faculty Registration/Generation of Matriculation Number
After being cleared by the Department Registration Officers, fresh students should proceed to their respective Faculty Registration Officers with the following:a. Clearance from the Department Registration Officer
b. Documents listed in (5) above
The Faculty Registration Officer verifies the documents presented by the candidate and then do the following:
a. Clears the candidate on the system
b. Generate matriculation number for the fresh students
The student returns to the department for final documentation
7. Departmental Documentation and Online Registration of Courses
The fresh undergraduate students proceed for online Departmental registration as follows:a. Visit https://mis.unijos.edu.ng/ug/portal/
b. Click Returning Students Login then Proceed
c. Enter your username (matriculation number) and password (created during bio-data registration)
d. Select Course Registration and follow the instructions
Thereafter, print five (5) copies of the acknowledgement of registration of courses and sign as indicated on the form. Submit signed copy of the course registration form to:
a. Level Coordinators/Departmental Registration Officer
b. Respective Faculty Officers
c. Senate Affairs and Admission Division
d. Examinations and Records Division
e. Student’s copy
8. Hostel Accommodation (First Come First Serve Basis)
Limited hostel accommodation shall be allocated to all students (fresh and returning) who have paid all current (and outstanding school charges) on a first come first serve basis upon payment of the prescribed hostel accommodation fee. Interested students are to do the following:a. Collect hostel accommodation clearance form from Students Affairs Division
b. Visit REMITA to pay for and print a remita receipt for the cleared hostel accommodation
c. The student then takes the printed remita receipt for the hostel accommodation and a N50.00 postal stamp to their respective Faculty Finance Officer for verification and issuance of official receipt of the University
d. The student then returns to Students Affairs Division with the verified remita receipt and the official receipt of the University for bed space allocation
