ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY & CUT-OFF MARK

  • Candidates who choose the Polytechnic as First, Second, Third Choice in the 2018 UTME Examination can apply for admission 
  • Candidates with scores of 150 and above in the 2018 UTME Examinations can also apply into the polytechnic

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have Credits in all Five O'Level Subjects including English and Mathematics.

ABOUT UMU UKPAI POLYTECHNIC

Founded by Rev Dr Uma Ukpai, president of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Assoc. Inc, Uma Ukpai Polytechnic was established as a centre of excellence and research to educate, train and become the citadel of innovation for the growing Nigerian economy.

The goal of Government is to produce from the tertiary institutions, a crop of new graduates equipped with the skills to generate enterprises for their self employment and to employ others. Consequently, the institution was established with following objectives;

  • Creation of Centres of Excellence and the centres will be in, Engineering, Agriculture, Computing and Information Technology, Fashion Design and Arts and Sports
  • All students shall be introduced to computing and information
  • technology and these skills shall be incorporated into all programmes.
  • The teaching shall be modern, efficient and innovative, with the use of Computing and IT, suitable support materials with audio visual aids.
  • All students shall be introduced to the skills required
  • to create business enterprises and to develop entrepreneurship.
  • Programmes shall be introduced to bring skills and use of facilities to the wider community
