Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill some vacant posts in the Edo State Civil Service. Candidates for the various posts must possess the minimum qualifications specified below.The posts and the requirements are as follows:
ENGINEERS (CIVIL. MECHANICAL. ELECTRICAL. STRUCTURAL) GRADE 11, GRADE LEVEL 08
- A Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering or equivalent qualifications registrable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN)
- A Degree in Environmental Health Science from a recognised University.
- A Degree in Physics, Geophysics or Chemistry from a recognised University.
- A Degree from a recognised University in any of the following disciplines:-
- Geology
- Geology with Mineralogy, Chemistry, Physics or Biology as subsidiary
- Mining Geology with Statistics or Mathematics as subsidiary
- Analytical Chemistry
- Metallurgy
- Ore Dressing
- Geophysics
- A Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in Medical and appropriate Natural Sciences.
- A Degree in Geology, Mining or Exploratory Geology or Geology with Elementary Topographical Surveying as a subsidiary subject from a recognised University
- A Degree and Post-Graduate Diploma in Geochemistry or Geology with specialisation in Geochemistry from a recognised University
- A Degree in Statistics as a special subject from a recognised University.
- A Degree from a recognised University in Social Science or Mathematics without Statistics plus a Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistics
- A pass in the Final Examination of the Institute of Statisticians
- Stage I Certificate of the Institute of Statisticians, London
- General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) in two subjects passed at one sitting or three subjects at two sittings preferably including Mathematics
- Ordinary National Diploma in Statistics obtained from an accredited Institution plus at least two years post-qualification cognate experience for any of the above
- Diploma Certificate in Statistics of the University of Ibadan,
- Stage 11 Certificate of the Institute of Statisticians, London
- Higher National Diploma in Statistics from an accredited Institution.
- Ordinary National Diploma in Computer Studies or Data Processing from a recognised Institution plus at least two years post-qualification cognate experience
- Higher National Diploma in Data Processing or Computer Science from a recognised Institution
- A Degree preferably in Arts, Journalism, Social Sciences or English Language from a recognised University.
- A candidate who is legally qualified to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in Nigeria plus at least one year post-call cognate experience.
- A Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognised University.
- A Pass in the Final Examination of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
- A Pass in the Final Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors
- A Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or Town Planning from a recognised Institution
- A Pass in the Final Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners
- A Professional Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning or Town Planning from any recognised Institution (not equivalent to Higher National Diploma Certificate). Above or equivalent qualifications must be registrable with the Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC):
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Architecture obtained from a University recognised by the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria.
- A Pass in the Final I Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (N.I.A.).
- A Pass in the Final I Examination of the Royal Institute of British Architects (R.I.B.A.) Above or equivalent qualifications must be registrable with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON)
- A Degree in Education or in any other relevant subject from a recognised University.
- A Degree in a relevant subject plus a Post-Graduate Diploma or Certificate in Education
- Higher National Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering from a recognised Institution
- Full Technological Certificate (Craft) of the City and Guilds Institute of London in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering or related subjects
- Ordinary National Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering or related subject from a recognised Institution plus at least four years post qualification cognate experience for II and III above.
- Higher National Diploma in Highways Engineering or any other relevant subject from a recognised Institution
- Full Technological Certificate (Craft) of the City and Guilds Institute of London in any relevant subject
- Ordinary National Diploma in Highways Engineering or any other relevant subject from a recognised Institution plus at least four years post qualification cognate experience for qualifications II and III.
- Higher National Diploma in Town Planning from a recognised Institution
- Ordinary National Diploma in Town Planning from a recognised Institution
- A Pass in the Preliminary Examination of Nigerian Institute of Town Planners plus at least four years post qualification cognate experience for II and III above.
- A Pass in the Intermediate Examination of the Town Planning Institution plus at least three years post qualification cognate experience.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architecture from a recognised Institution
- Full Technological Certificate (Technician) of the City and Guilds of London Institute in relevant field
- Intermediate Royal Institute of British Architects
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Architectural Technology from a recognised Institution
- Full Technological Certificate (Craft) of the City and Guilds of London Institute in relevant subject plus at least four years post qualification cognate experience for qualifications III to V.
- Higher National Diploma in Building from a recognised Institution
- Ordinary National Diploma in Building from a recognised Institution plus at least four years post qualification cognate experience.
- Higher National Diploma in Surveying from a recognised Institution
- Ordinary National Diploma in Survey or other related subjects from a recognised Institution
- Full Technological Certificate (Craft) of the City and Guilds Institute of London in Survey or related subject
- Part I of the Advanced Course at the School of Survey, Oyo plus at least four years post qualification cognate experience for II to IV above
- Part II of the Advanced Course of the School of Survey, Oyo plus at least three years post qualification cognate experience.
- Full Technological Certificate (Craft) of the City and Guilds Institute of London in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering or related subject
- Ordinary National Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering or related subject from a recognised Institution plus one year post qualification cognate experience for either qualifications.
- A Pass in the Intermediate Examination of the Town Planning Institution.
- Intermediate Royal Institute of British Architects
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Architectural Technology from a recognised Institution
- Full Technological Certificate (Craft) of the City and Guilds of London Institute in relevant subject plus at least one year post qualification cognate experience for any of the qualifications above.
- Ordinary National Diploma in Building from a recognised Institution plus at least one year post qualification cognate experience.
- Ordinary National Diploma in Survey or other related subjects from a recognised Institution
- Full Technological Certificate (Craft) of the City and Guilds Institute of London Survey or related subject
- Part I of the Advanced Course at the School of Survey, Oyo plus one year post qualification cognate experience for any of the qualifications above
- Part II of the Advanced Course at the School of Survey, Oyo.
- Full Technological Certificate (Craft) of the City and Guilds Institute of London in a relevant subject
- Ordinary National Diploma in Highways Engineering or any other relevant subject from a recognised Institution plus at least one year post qualification cognate experience for either qualifications.
- A Degree in Agricultural or Biological Science from a recognised University.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agriculture from a recognised Institution.
- A Degree in Zoology, Fisheries, Biology, Agricultural Bio-Chemistry or Agriculture from a recognised University.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fisheries, Zoology, Biology, Bio-Chemistry or Agriculture from a recognised Institution.
- A Degree in any of the Agricultural or Natural Sciences from a recognised University.
- A Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, Crop Science or Crop Production from a recognised University.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agriculture from a recognised Institution.
- A candidate possessing a basic degree in Veterinary Medicine, who has been registered by the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN) and successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme or obtained Exemption Certificate of NYSC.
- A candidate possessing the Technologists Associate Membership of the Institute of Medical Laboratory (A.I.M.L.T) or any other equivalent qualification registrable with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technologist of Nigeria.
- A Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognised University.
- A Degree in Forestry, Forest Resources Management, Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Zoology, Botany/Biology, Forest Engineering, Forest Utilization, Timber Technology or Wood Science from a recognised University.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Forestry/Wildlife Management, Biology, Ecology, Zoology or Botany from a recognised School of Forestry or Institution.
- A Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Accounting, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Banking and Finance, Economics or any other relevant degree.
- A Degree in Accountancy from a recognised University.
- A Degree in Accountancy from a recognised University.
- A Degree in Land Surveying, Survey Engineering, Geodetic Science or Geodetic Engineering from a recognised University or any equivalent qualifications registrable with the Surveyors Registration Council of Nigeria (SURCON).
- A Degree in Estate Management or Land Economy from a recognised University
- A Pass in the Final Examination of the Auctioneers’ and Estate Agents’ Institute
- A Pass in the Final Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Estate Management obtained from a recognised Institution.
- A Pass in the First Examination of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
- A Pass in the First Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Estate Management from a recognised Institution plus at least four years post qualification cognate experience for II to IV above.
- A Pass in the Intermediate Examination of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
- A Pass in the Intermediate Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers plus at least three years post qualification cognate experience for V and VI above.
- A Pass in the Intermediate Examination of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
- A Pass in the Intermediate Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.
- General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) in two subjects passed at one sitting or three subjects passed at two sittings preferably including Geography, Economics or Mathematics plus at least two years post qualification cognate experience.
- A first degree in Building, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised University who has passed the prescribed Competitive Selection Examination and the appropriate Medical/Fitness test.
- The Graduate Membership Diploma of the Institute of Fire Engineers.
- Intermediate Certificate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
- General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) in two subjects passed at one sitting or three subjects passed at two sittings
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Business Studies from a recognised Institution plus at least five years post qualification cognate experience for qualifications I to III
- Final Certificate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
- Higher National Diploma in Business Studies from a recognised Institution plus three years post-qualification cognate experience for qualifications IV and V.
- Final Certificate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
- Higher National Diploma in Business Studies from a recognised Institution
- Intermediate Certificate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
- General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) in two subjects passed at one sitting or three subjects passed at two sittings
- Ordinary Level Diploma (OND) in Business Studies from a recognised Institution plus at least two years post-qualification cognate experience for qualifications III to V.
A candidate possessing any of the following qualifications or their equivalents which are provisionally registrable with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON):-
- A Degree in Building or Building Technology from a recognised University
- A Pass in the Final Part II Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Builders
- A Pass in the Final Part II Examination of the Chartered Institute of Builders of England.
- A Degree in Medicine registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) from a recognised institution plus at least one year post registration cognate experience.
- A Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree registrable with the Pharmacist Registration Board of Nigeria (PRBN) plus at least one year post registration cognate experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing plus the registration of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- A Degree in Medical Laboratory Science registrable with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) plus one year post registration cognate experience
- A Degree or equivalent in relevant disciplines plus Associate of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN).
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education from a recognised University
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology or Health Science
