NLS Call to Bar Ceremony Dates, Fees & Requirements 2019/2020

Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School (NLS) Call to Bar Ceremonies Schedule, Fee/Charges, Requirements and Screening Modalities / Final Clearance Exercise for 2019/2020 Call to Bar Ceremony (Backlog Set).

The management of the Nigerian Law School (NLS) has released the dates, event schedule, fees, screening modalities and requirements for the 2019/2020 Call to Bar Ceremonies (Backlog Set).

Nigerian Law School Call to Bar 2019/2020 Ceremonies Dates

This is to notify Members of the Body of Benchers and aspirants to the Bar that the Call to Bar Ceremonies for candidates in the January, 2020 Bar Final Examination is scheduled as follows:

Date: Tuesday, 15th September, 2020
Time: 10:00am prompt
Venue: Eagle Square, Abuja.

The choice of the Eagle Square was made due to its semblance with the National Stadium, since it is an open-spaced facility. It will give room for better ventilation considering the guidelines on curbing the spread of Covid-19 virus. 

We regret to inform the Parents/Guardians of the aspirants and the General Public that the ceremony is strictly for the aspirants.

However, Parents/Guardians are advised to watch the ceremony through National Television as there is going to be live streaming of the ceremony on National Television and other social media platforms.

Aspirants should note that they are required to be seated by 8:30am. Late coming will not be tolerated.

Nigerian Law School Call to Bar Fees

This is to notify all successful candidates in the last Bar Exams to pay their Call to Bar clearance fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (N30,000) into the Body of Benchers Zenith Bank account number 1015715697.

Payment through another account will not be accepted.

Nigerian Law School Modalities For Screening Exercise/call To Bar Ceremony (2019/2020 Backlog Set)

1. Students are to download Testimonial/ AFFIDAVIT forms from our website
2. Students are to scan LL.B Certificate and evidence of payment to the Admissions Office.
a. Scan a copy of your LL.B Certificate and evidence of payment
b. Email a Scanned copy to [email protected]
c. Use your exam number and full name with SURNAME FIRST as the subject of your email. e.g if my Surname is CHIKE and my firstname is Mariam , my other name is Tope and my exam number is 199999, then the subject of my email will be: 199999 CHIKE MARIAM TOPE
Those who fail to comply will not be eligible for Call To The Bar.

On the day(s) of the Call Ceremony, students are to proceed for endorsement and enrollment after collecting their certificates.

The staff of Students Affairs would be available for collection of the copies of the documents endorsed at the Supreme Court.

FINAL CLEARANCE

To complete the clearance process tor Call To The Bar scheduled for September 15, 2020, candidates are required to report at Nigerian Law School, Headquarters, Bwari, as indicated below:

Date: Thursday, September 10, 2020 - Monday, September 14, 2020
Venue: NLS Dining Hall
Time: 9.00am to 6.00pm daily

You are to come with your original LLB Certificate and Student Identity Card.
