Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso Students’ Union Election Guidelines, Time-Table Schedule, Voting Centers Date and Time for 2019/2020 Session.
The management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso has released the guideline for the 2019/2020 academic session Students’ Union Election.It is worthy of note that the Student Union Election is imminent and as such, it is imperative to be aware of the guidelines governing the forthcoming election.
Below are the election guidelines for both the voters and the aspirants.
Latest Update: RELEASE TO STUDENTS ON POSTPONEMENT OF STUDENT UNION ELECTION
Due to the security information just received by the University Management, I have the directive of the Vice Chancellor to inform all students and the university community that the Student Union election scheduled for Thursday, December 19, 2019 has been postponed until further notice.
In view of the above, the Olabiyi Olamide Anthony-led Caretaker Committee will be in charge of Student Union activities of the University until further notice.
Please note that normal academic activities continue in the university. We regret any inconvenience caused as a result of the postponement of the election. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
LAUTECH Students Union Election Guidelines 2019/2020
In addition to the existing guidelines as contained in Student Union Constitution. The under listed are additional rules and regulations.1. To be able to vote and be voted for you must be a registered student of LAUTECH as at 2018/2019 Academic Session.
2. Voters must be in 200 - 500 level as at 2018/2019 academic session.
3. Aspirants should NOT have been indicted or blacklisted presently or involved in any case of criminal activities such as Examination Malpractices, Fighting within the University or involved in any act of irregular activity.
4. The aspirants should be in good academic standing, i.e. must have a CGPA of not less than 3.5 as at the last senate approved result.
5. The aspirants must be a good ambassador of LAUTECH. The election will be e-voting and will be done remotely
NOTE: All contestants should see one another as brothers and sisters and not sworn enemy, as such, in the Student Union Election there is no LOSER or WINNER and everyone must relate in the spirit of sportsmanship.

1. Faculty staff Advisors shall be in charge of monitoring the election in their respective faculties.
2. Election shall be conducted by using E-voting system and accreditation by using Biometrics.
3. Election commences by 9am and ends by 3pm.
4. Registered students as at Harmattan Semester 2018/2019 shall be eligible to vote.
5. Present 100 and 200 levels shall not be eligible to vote.
6. Venues for election shall be as following:

6. Any of the following shall be accepted for identification to vote:
- School Identity- Card
- Faculty- Identity’ Card
- Departmental Identity- Card
- Course registration form of Harmattan semester 2017/2018 duely signed by Head of Department.
8. Proceed to the voting point, and log-in with your Matric Number and portal password.

- Monday, December 16, 2019 - Submission of forms by contestants and screening of eligible contestants

- Thursday, December 19, 2019 - Election for Departments, Faculties and Central Executives
