Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun is inviting suitably qualified members of the public to her Industrial Continuing Education (ICE)/Part-Time programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Petroleum Training Institute ICE/PT Available Programmes.

This will lead to an award of the Higher National Diploma and National Diploma Certificate in the following Disciplines:

  • Petroleum Engineering Technology (HND)
  • Mineral and Petroleum Resources Engineering (ND only)
  • Welding and Fabrication Engineering (HND and ND)

iii. Industrial Safety and Environmental Technology. Options:

  • Environmental Technology (HND & ND)
  • Science Laboratory Technology (HND and ND)
  • Petroleum and Gas Processing Engineering Technology (HND and ND)
  • Mechanical Engineering (HND and ND) Options:

  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology (HND and ND) Options:

Entry Requirements.

Applicants for National Diploma must possess a minimum of five (5)Credit level passes at the ordinary level, in not more than two sittings, in the SSSCE/WAEC/GCE (or its equivalent) which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject for candidates applying for Engineering courses, excluding candidates applying for Petroleum Marketing and Business Studies who will require credit in Economics, Commerce or any other subject; while Higher National Diploma (HND) candidates must possess the above listed subjects and a National Diploma that is relevant to the choice of courses, with evidence of post one (1) year Industrial Training (IT) Experience.


The HND and ND part-time programmes are minimum of three (3) academic sessions to be run from Friday Evenings through Sunday Noon to Evenings.

Method Of Application

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira Only (N15,000.00) only for each PTI admission form for 2022/2023 Academic Session.  ​​​​ 

  • Visit​​
  • Click on “Admission Menu”
  • Click on​​ Apply for Part time/ICE Programmes ​​​​ and sign-up for admission ​​ (Note: Write down the Username and Password for subsequent use).
  • This will take you to the Remittal Retrieval Reference (RRR) page where you generate the RRR code.
  • Print the ​​ RRR code page and take it to any bank for payment. Make sure you keep the RRR print out.
  • After the payment of​​ N15, 000.00​​ which is the cost of each admission form, return to the PTI website ( and click on “Return to my Application”.​​ 
  • Enter your User Name and Password and click​​ LOGIN
  • Fill in the online application form and print out the completed online application form which will be presented at the examination/Interview centre along with your RRR print out.


REMARK: If the portal rejects your USER NAME and PASSWORD in your attempt to login again after payment, then mail​​ [email protected]​​ stating your RRR code.

Inconsistency in names, passport,​​ O’Level Certficates and other registration documents will not be acceptable to the institute and lead to disqualifications of defaulting candidates


  • Online sales commence on 27th June, 2022 and closes on 9th September, 2022
  • Late application starts from 16th September, 2022 and ends on 30th September, 2022 at the cost of Twenty Thousand only (N20,000). Thereafter, the site will be closed.
