Nasarawa State Govt. Reconstitutes Governing Councils in State-Owned Institutions

Nasarawa State Governor His Excellency, Umaru Tanko Al-makura Approves the Reconstitution of the Governing Councils of Nasarawa State-Owned University, Keffi College of Education, Akwanga; College of Agriculture, Lafia and the Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia.

In the exercise of the powers vested on the Governor of Nasarawa State in the relevant enabling Laws establishing the Nasarawa State-Owned University, Keffi College of Education, Akwanga; College of Agriculture, Lafia and the Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia and as Visitor to these Tertiary Institutions, His Excellency, Umaru Tanko Al-makura, Governor of Nasarawa State has approved the reconstitution of the Governing Councils of the aforementioned State-Owned Institutions as follows:

A. Nasarawa State University, Keffi

2.. In a related development, His Excellency, the Governor of Nasarawa State has also approved the reappointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Rebecca Isaac Umaru as the Provost of the Nasarawa State College of Education, Akwanga for another term of four (4) years with effect from 12"“ September, 2018.

3. Similarly, His Excellency has also approved the appointment of Dr. Yahaya Musa Maikeffi as the Ag. Provost of the Nasarawa State College of Agriculture, Lafia with effect from 23rd August, 2018.

4. In another development, His Excellency, the Governor of Nasarawa State has approved the appointment of Danlami Ofoku Ikpobose as the Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Scholarship Board with effect from 23rd August, 2018. In view of this development, the appointment of the suspended

Executive Secretary of the Scholarship Board, Suleiman Abdul-Wahab Suleiman, has been terminated with immediate effect.

5. The appointees of the Governing Councils are to be inaugurated on a date to be announced later, please.
