ASUU SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS 2019 ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND NAIRA (N200, 000.00) SCHOLARSHIP.

Applicants are invited for ASUU scholarship awards 2025.


Scholarship Overview

  • Award per recipient: ₦200,000
  • Number of recipients: Two students per branch

Award Guidelines

  • The scholarship is aimed at supporting indigent students.
  • Each branch will establish a selection committee to oversee the process.
  • A public call for applications will be made by each branch.
  • The committee will evaluate applications and engage with candidates.
  • Two students per branch will be selected by the committee.
  • The selected candidates' names will be confirmed by the Congress and forwarded to the National Secretariat.
  • The award will be presented at the zonal level, except for the zone hosting the next NEC meeting, where it will be awarded at the national level.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:
  • Be financially disadvantaged.
  • Be registered students at universities with active ASUU branches.
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0.

Application Process

To apply, applicants should submit a letter of application (maximum of two pages) that includes:

  • Full name
  • Course of study and current year
  • State of origin

The letter must be accompanied by the following documents:

  • A photocopy of a valid student ID card
  • A letter from the Head of Department confirming the applicant’s CGPA for the last academic session
  • A copy of the registration form for the current semester
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs

Application Deadline

  • All branches must complete the selection process and submit the names of the awardees by January 24, 2025.
  • Branches that do not meet this deadline will not participate in the 2024/2025 award cycle.

This scholarship provides an opportunity for eligible students to ease their financial challenges and concentrate on their studies.
