IAUE Unveils Graduate School of Business at St John Campus

Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, IAUE Launches / Unveils Graduate School of Business at St John Campus of the Institution. 

Corporate organization, Captains of Industries, the political class and Business Community were part of the personalities that witnessed the unveiling of the Graduate School of Business at the St John campus of the institution.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the university King Aaron Miller Ikuru who unveiled the Graduate School of Business commended the Vice-Chancellor for the initiative and for placing the university on a higher level among universities in the country and called for the practical teaching and collaboration with expertise from relevant industry to be sustained.

In his speech the Vice-Chancellor Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele remarked that the programme is modular in nature and would work at the pace of the fifteen students so far admitted but must be concluded within the stipulated period of one year. 


He noted that Graduate School of Business has state of the art facilities and is the fourth in the country after Lagos, Enugu and University of Port Harcourt. 


Professor Ndimele enjoined all present to encourage others to enroll as the university is in collaboration with the international community for the programme.


The Chairman of the Governing Board, Institute for Professional studies, Professor Joseph Kinanee while delivering his speech stressed that the Graduate Business School programme content reflects current and future needs of the Business and Maritime Industries with the tutorial staff comprising seasoned and well proven professors and other academics in various fields of specialization who will provide the academic content while experienced industry players will provide the practical skills needed in each of the programme. 


He stated that the learning environment is conducive with an electronic library and uninterrupted power supply and added that the professional Maritime studies programme have appropriate certifications by relevant professional bodies making the products of the programme ready for engagement either by self or other employers of labour.

In her vote of thanks, the Director of the Graduate school of Business Dr (Mrs) Anthonia Omehia expressed appreciation to the Business community and Captains of Industries who found time to identify with the programme.


She especially lauded the Vice-Chancellor Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele for his visionary leadership and noble ideas and prayed God to continue to guide him.
