University of Lagos (UNILAG) Online Registration Exercise Guidelines and Procedures, Time-Table Schedule for Freshers/Newly Admitted Students for 2021/2022 Academic Session.

This is to inform all candidates admitted into University of Lagos, UNILAG that the registration and screening procedure for the 2021/2022 academic session has been released.

Candidates are advised to follow the under-listed registration procedure strictly.

University of Lagos (UNILAG) Screening & Registration Guidelines for Candidates on Recommended Status Only 2021/2022.

This is to inform Postgraduate Applicants of University of Lagos that the management has released the step by step Procedures for screening and Registration of candidates on RECOMMENDED status as follows;

1. Click on ‘Student Login’ link at http://studentportal.unilag.edu.ng
2. Login with your Application No as Matric No and your Surname (in lowercase) as your password. You will be required to change your password after login.
3. Update your Biodata as appropriate
4. From the dashboard, click on ‘Upload Documents’ and upload the following Original documents in colour:
5. • Degree Certificate
   • All Academic Transcripts must reach the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies on or before the beginning of registration/screening exercise.
   • NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Certificate
   • Other Relevant Degree Certificate (If applicable)
   • Professional Certificate (If Applicable)
   • Call to Bar Certificate (LLM Candidates Only)
   • O’Level Result Certificate
   • Birth Certificate
   • Evidence of change of name for female only (marriage certificate/newspaper advert)
6. From the dashboard, click on ‘Appointment’ to schedule a date for screening.
7. Proceed to the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos, physically on the scheduled date and time for screening (This stage is not allowed by proxy; Candidates must obey Covid-19 Protocols; List of Documents required ).
8. At the screening venue, pick a Prospectus for a non-refundable fee of N10,000.
9. Upon successful completion of screening, commence Registration by generating bill online (on REMITA) and proceed to make payment either online or at any commercial bank in Nigeria. (Note that Obligatory and Tuition Fees are required before online Registration; Payment of Tuition Fee on Installment is allowable for Part-Time Candidates only
10. Complete course registration form Online.
11. Print two (2) copies each of Course Form, Acceptance Form, Biodata, Admission Letter, Payment Advice and Receipts.
12. Sign Course Forms with Head of Department and University Bursar in that order.
13. Graduates of Universities Outside Nigeria must provide the following in addition to the above (Admission Letter of First Degree, Transcript, Certificate & Travelling Documents during the period of study).

NOTE:

• University of Lagos has zero tolerance for drug abuse, social vices and illegal activities. Any student found wanting shall loose his/her studentship.
• The University mandates everyone on Campus to observe Covid-19 Protocols.
• Candidates are advised to desist from patronizing 3rd Parties in the name of bloggers or business centers, etc.
• All new students MUST provide their original credentials for sighting at the point of screening

• Receipt for Prospectus
• Biodata Form
• Degree Certificate or Transcript (unsealed Transcript is unacceptable)
• NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
• Birth Certificate
• Other Relevant Degree Certificates (If applicable)
• Professional Certificate (If Applicable)
• Call to Bar Certificate (LLM Candidates Only)
• O’Level Result (MBA Candidates Only)
• Evidence of change of name for female only (with marriage certificate/newspaper advert)

 

Venue: School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos, Yaba, Lagos.

Duration of Screening: Friday, February 11, 2022 - Friday, February 25, 2022

Time: 9am – 3pm daily

University of Lagos (UNILAG) General Screening & Registration Guidelines 2021/2022.

All newly admitted UTME candidates are requested to report for registration from Monday, 24th January, 2022 to Friday, February 25, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m as scheduled below.

Candidates are advised to follow the under listed registration procedure strictly.

RECOMMENDED: UNILAG Fresh Students Screening / Registration Time-Table 2021/2022.

Stage 1: Uploading of Documents
Login to the Unilag Students Portal (www.unilag.edu.ng → students → student login) and fill the biodata form, print the Screening Form. Students are expected to upload the underlisted documents while filling the Biodata form:

• Birth Certificate
• Letter of Reference
• Testimonial from Secondary Schools attended
• Certificate of State of Origin
• JAMB Admission Letter
• Previous Degree Certificate (DE Students)

Stage 2: Screening
(A) Proceed to the Faculty for registration as scheduled
(B) Submit four copies of the under-listed documents to the Registration Officer:

1. Screening Form generated from Stage 1
2. UTME Result Slip
3. Unilag Post-UTME Result Slip
4. O’ Level Result Certificate (WAEC/NECO) OR Statement of Result with an online version of the result
5. Letter of Reference from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servant
6. Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age
7. Testimonial from Secondary Schools attended
8. Certificate of State Of Origin
9. JAMB Admission Letter
10. Passport Photographs (12 Copies)

Stage 3: Payment of Fees

1. Generate pay advice
2. Proceed to any bank to make payment

Stage 4: Faculty/Departmental Registration
Proceed to the Faculty & Departments for further registration processes

IMPORTANT NOTICE

• Impersonation is a serious offence and anybody found guilty of this will automatically forfeit his/her admission and may be handed over to Security Operatives.
• DRUG USE: The University has zero tolerance for drug use; hence a compulsory test shall be conducted for all newly admitted students before or after registration. The admission of newly admitted students that test POSITIVE TO DRUG USE shall be withdrawn.
