University of Calabar, UNICAL Management Increases Students Union Government Dues and Hostel Accommodation Charges.
The Vice Chancellor has considered the resolution reached at a meeting held on October 3, 2018 between the Students' Union Government, Hall Government and other stakeholders with the Dean of Students Affairs.Accordingly, the Vice Chancellor has approved the following recommendations:
1. To increase accommodation charges to N16,500 for all undergraduate hostels, while scholarship hostels attracts N5,000.
2. To increase Students’ Union dues from the current N500 to N1,000 effective 2018/2019 academic session.
3. To intensify efforts in ensuring that water runs in all hostels to promote cleanliness on campus.
4. To ensure that students vacate the hostels at the end of every academic session.
All students of the University are hereby encouraged to take note and prepare accordingly.
