Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic School of Preliminary Studies [Pre-ND] Admission Form, Courses, Admission Requirements, Application Guidelines for 2022/2023 Academic Session.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Pre-ND Programmes for 2022/2023 Academic Session.
About the Programme
The main objective of the Pre-ND Programme is to update the academic status of the candidates who have not satisfied the minimum entry requirements as stipulated by the NBTE for admission into National Diploma Programmes run by the Polytechnic.Admission Requirements
The minimum entry requirement for the admission to the Pre-ND programme shall be a minimum of FIVE PASSES including English and Mathematics and THREE other relevant subjects at WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE (O’ Level), or NABTEB examination in not more than two sittings, or their recognized equivalents in the proposed course of study.The structure of the Pre-ND Programme consists of formal lectures and practical/laboratory work (where applicable in relevant subjects) and one or more vocational courses relevant to the programme.
At present, students are admitted into either Pre-ND-(Science) or Pre-ND (Business). All admissions into the Pre-ND Programmes shall be through entrance examination to be conducted by the Polytechnic.
On successful completion of the Pre-ND Programme and scoring at least the cut-off point in JAMB UTME for that year, the candidate will be qualified for admission into any of the ND programmes of the institution.

- Candidates should proceed to the Cash office of the Bursary department to obtain Pre-ND Application form on presentation of the Bank Teller.
- Completed Application form, along with photocopies of credentials should be submitted to Pre-ND School Officer.
- Candidates should present original copies of their educational certificates and other credentials to the school officer for screening.
- List of qualified candidates will be published in the departmental notice board.
