Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma Matriculates / Admits Six Thousand Six Hundred (6,600) Students During the 37th Matriculation Ceremony for 2019/2020 Academic Session.
The Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma held its 37th matriculation ceremony on Monday 27th January 2020 at the Cordelia Agbebaku Auditorium.The ceremony which started at about 10:30am at Cordelia Agbebaku Auditorium popularly known as the school pavilion saw the matriculating students as well as their friends and well wishes beautifully dressed for the event.
The Vice chancellor Prof. Ignatius Onimawo who led other members of the university senates in his addressed remarked that about 15,000 students chosed AAU Ekpoma as first choice but only 6600 were matriculated.
The Vice Chancellor eulogies the newly admitted students to be serious with their studies , warned them against social vices , such as cultism , fighting , fraud and other social vices.
He went forth to pray for the matriculating students and also used the opportunity to highlights some of the notable achievements the university has recorded, ranging from producing notable alumnus like Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Mr. Tony Elumelu and also acknowledged their contributions to the university, Chris Oyakhilome auditorium, Tony Elumelu examination center, He also spoke of the international award that the university anthem has attracted that the award will be received in London.
The Deans of various faculties, including Institute of Education introduced their matriculating students to the university management.
Highlight of the event was the Oath taking by the matriculating students which was led by the Registrar Sir Chris Adamaigbo KSM.
The ceremony was were attended by members of the university senate, deans of faculties, head of departments, the students union government members as well as families, friends and well wishes of the matriculating students.
