ABU Matriculates 10,000 Students for 2019/2020 Session

Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Matriculates / Admits Ten Thousand (10,000) Students for 2019/2020 Academic Session.

No fewer than 10,000 students took their matriculation oath during the Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Matriculation Ceremony for 2019/2020 academic session which was held on Monday, 24th February, 2020 at the Mamman Kontagora Square (Main Campus) Samaru.

According to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Garba he disclosed that out of 40,000 candidates who seeked for admission into the University, only 10,000 were deemed fit to be admitted and matriculated by the institution.

He advised the new students to uphold the rules and regulations of the institution.

In his words : “You should consider yourselves lucky to have gained admission to the university because of the number of students that applied. You should therefore consider the admission as a special privilege.

The matriculation oath which has just been conducted is a ceremony that formally initiates you into the body of the university community.

By this process, you have formally accepted to adhere to the rules and regulations of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU).

He advised them to shun examination malpractice, cultism, drug abuse, indecent dressing and all forms of anti-social behaviour.
