Elizade University Matriculates 300 Students During the 7th Matriculation Ceremony for 2018/2019 Academic Session.
No fewer than 300 students took their matriculation oath at the 7th matriculation ceremony of the Elizade University which was held on Thursday 26th February, 2019.
The Vice-Chancellor of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, Prof. Olukayode Amund Speaking at the 7th Matriculation Ceremony has reiterated the position of the University on discipline among students.
He said that the University would not be a suitable place for students with questionable character, warning that the strict measures put in place to checkmate immoral behaviour among students would not be compromised.
Prof. Amund stated that the University has continued to focus on her pursuit of becoming a globally competitive institution that produces entrepreneurial, innovative and ethical graduates as enshrined in its vision and mission.
He added that the University’s quest to produce graduates with the appropriate skills and knowledge for the development of the nation and global competitiveness would remain intact.
The Vice-Chancellor charged the students to face their studies squarely and shun any act that could jeopardize their aspiration to obtain the degrees of the University.
Prof. Amund reminded the matriculating students that the distance between matriculation and convocation was wide, adding that determination and seriousness were required to end well.
The Don affirmed that the University would continue to maintain a zero tolerance for all anti–social behaviours such as cultism, examination malpractice, hooliganism, drug abuse, prostitution and other vices that could truncate the attainment of the University’s vision.
He urged them to make the most use of the various modern facilities that the University has provided for their academic development.
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the matriculating students and their parents and promised the continued support of the University for them.
