Auchi Poly Sanctions 27 Sex for Marks Lecturers, Recruit 250 Staffs

Auchi Polytechnic Management Sanctions Twenty Seven {27} Sex for Mark, Money for Marks, Lecturers, Recruits Additional Two Hundred and Fifty {250} Staffs.

The Management of Federal Polytechnic Auchi says the institution has sanctioned 27 lecturers for engaging in sex for marks, money for marks and other related practices.

During the 25th Convocation ceremony of the polytechnic, the Rector Sanusi Jimah disclosed that amongst the 27 Sanctioned lecturers, Eleven of the affected staff were dismissed, the appointments of six were terminated, while 10 others were downgraded.

In the same vein, an additional 250 staff were recruited to strengthen the capacity of the institution.

Chairman, Governing Council, Olarewaju Oloyo, represented by Prince Felix Oba Okojie, said unethical conduct of staff would no longer be tolerated.

Oloyo urged the Federal Government to consider the allocation of special grant to the institution to enable it to replace all instructional materials and equipment.
