Guard UTME REG/Phone Numbers & Profile Codes - JAMB Warns
2022 UTME: Joint Admissions and Matriculation Baord (JAMB) Warns Candidates to Beware of Fraudsters Defrauding Suspecting Candidates, Also Jealously Guard Your UTME REG Numbers and Profile Codes.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has alerted candidates over the scheme employed by fraudsters to defraud unsuspecting candidates.

Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Board,, who disclosed this in the board's weekly news bulletin, advised all candidates to “jealously guard their UTME registration numbers and profile codes to avoid falling victim of this latest scam."

He warned that these fraudsters use candidate's registration number to print out their examination notification slip in order to gain access to their personal information such as the candidate's phone number and other vital information.

The fraudsters then use the information to send messages to same candidates disguising as JAMB officials, with claims that they have special information, access and capacity to increase the candidates’ scores among other things.

The registrar advised candidates to disregard messages or calls from anybody claiming to have access to the board’s classified information.
