FUNAAB Hostel Application Guidelines 2020/2021 | UG & PG

Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Hostel Accommodation Portal Fees, Application Guidelines and Deadline for Fresh Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) Students for 2020/2021 Academic Session.

This is to inform all interested undergraduate and postgraduate fresh students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) that they are to apply for available hostel accommodation for 2020/2021 academic session

FUNAAB Hostel Accommodation / Bidding Application portal will open on Friday, 22nd October, 2021 Bidding time slots will be staggered for Fresh students, Returning students and Postgradate students.

Allocation of bed-spaces is strictly on first-come, first-serve basis.


Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Hostel Accommodation Portal Fees 2020/2021

Post-Graduate and Undergraduate Students who are interested in seeking accommodation in the University Hostels can apply and bid for bed-spaces in any of the following categories of Hostels:

A. Undergraduates

  • Iyalode Tinubu Female Hostel (Blocks A and B): ₦30,090.00
  • Iyalode Tinubu Female Hostel (Block C): ₦30,090.00
  • Princess Adebisi Soboyejo Female Hostel: ₦30,090:00
  • NEEDS Assessment Female Hostel: ₦50,090:00
  • Umar Kabir Male Hostel (Blocks A and B): ₦30,090.00
  • Umar Kabir Male Hostel (Blocks C and D): ₦30,090.00
  • NEEDS Assessment Male Hostel) : ₦50,090:00

 

B. Postgraduates

  • Iyalode Tinubu Hostel (Blocks D and E): ₦45,090.00
  • New PG Male Hostel: CEADESE (2/room): ₦60,090.00

NOTE: Fees are exclusive of Transaction charges.

 

Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Hostel Accommodation Portal Registration Guidelines 2020/2021

Allocation of the limited rooms in the University Hostels will be based on a competitive, transparent and fair bidding process for interested and serious students. The process involves the various stages listed below:

Stage A (Expression of Interest): by inputting your Matriculation number (Post-Graduate and Returning Undergraduate Students) or JAMB Registration Number (Fresh students) along with your contact details, an Hostel Application Invoice is generated. Print the Invoice and proceed to any bank accepting REMITA including FUNAB Microfinance Bank with your prescribed fees Invoice for payment or pay online using debit card or Internet Banking.

Payment of this Invoice is non-refundable and qualifies you for the next stage.

NOTE: Payment of School Fee is a pre-requisite for all applicants. Additionally, Post-Graduate Students are expected to have registered for the session.


Stage B (Reservation/Booking): Login to place a reservation for accommodation in any hostel of your choice subject to availability of bed-spaces for your status per time. An Hostel Fee Invoice is generated when a reservation is successfully made.

Print the invoice and bring to the Bursary within a maximum of 5 days or as reflected on the invoice, failing which your reservation is cancelled and your application revoked. To make a fresh reservation, you will need to generate a new Hostel Application Invoice.

Stage C (Allocation of Bed-spaces): By paying the Hostel Fee Invoice within the grace period, a Room is automatically allocated to you. Login again to check the room allocated to you and print the Bed-space Allocation Form.

NOTE: You can only make reservation for an hostel, Rooms and Bed-spaces will be automatically allocated.

Successful allottee should please endeavor to convert their bank tellers to receipts at the Bursary Unit and complete hostel registration forms at their allocated Hostels.

Allocation of bed-spaces is strictly on first-come, first-serve basis with the following status taken into consideration.

  1. Students with Special Needs or Health Challenges (as recommended by the Director, Health Services)
  2. Indigent Student (as recommended by Counselling Unit)
  3. Foreign Students
  4. Final Year Students (including students returning from SIWES and FPY).
  5. Fresh Students
  6. 200L-500L Students (Non-Final Year)
  7. Biological children of Staff
  8. Outstanding Sportsmen and Women (on the recommendation of the Director of Sports)
  9. Student Union / Hall Executive
  10. Student with CGPA of 4.5 and above
  11. Special consideration for a Staff
