PTI Effurun Certificate Programme Form 2022/2023 [UPDATED]
Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun Certificate Programmes (Gen Welding and Commercial Diving) Admission Form, Courses, Requirements, Cost of Admission Forms, Application Guidelines, Entrance Examination / Interview Dates, Time, Venue and Deadline for 2022/2023 Academic Session.
The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates, for admission into the under-mentioned Certificate Programmes for the 2022/2023 Academic Session.

Available Programmes.

The following Certificate programmes are available
  1. General Welding Certificate
  2. Commercial Diving Certificate (classes I and II)


ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

General Welding Certificate

GCE O/Level, WASC or SSCE (WAEC or NECO) with a minimum of passes in five (5) subjects at not more than two sittings which should include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any one of the following subjects: Further Mathematics, Statistics, Basic Electronics, Metal Work; Wood Work, Geography, Economics or
City and Guilds Intermediate Certificate in Welding.

Commercial Diving Certificate (Class I)

Duration: 18 Weeks (Admissions are Done Twice Yearly)

Admission Requirements

  • GCE O/Level, WASC or SSCE (WAEC or NECO) with ordinary passes in five (5) subjects at not more than two sittings which should include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following subjects: Further Mathematics, Statistics, Basic Electronics, Metal Work, Wood Work, Geography, Economics, or
  • City and Guilds Intermediate Certificate in Welding
  • National Technical Certificate (NATEC) with three credits which must include Mathematics, Physics, and a Pass in English language.
  • PTI General Welding Certificate.
  • Intermediate C and G in Welding or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Any other equivalent recognized Certificate.

Candidates are expected to undergo a comprehensive medical examination and approve swimming test and approve swimming test and interview.

Commercial Diving Certificate (Class II)

CLASS II (SURFACE SUPPLIED DIVING CERTIFICATE) | DURATION: 6 Weeks

Admission Requirements

  • PTI class I dividing certificate.
  • HSE part IV and III certificate in SCUBA diving.
  • Candidates with relevant offshore commercial diving experience who must have attained 50 metres depth.
  • Any other equivalent recognized international certificate.

Candidates must present their diving logbooks

Method Of Application

Candidates applying for General Welding and Commercial Diving Programmes are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Ten thousand naira (N10, 000.00) for each PTI admission form for 2022/2023 Academic Session.

Prospective candidates should apply directly to Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) by following the steps below:
  1. Go to http://portal.pti.edu.ng/ApplicantsSignOn.aspx.
  2. Fill in the On-line “Sign on page” and Click on “Click Here to Sign Up” at the bottom of the page. (Note: Write down the Username and Password for subsequent use).
  3. This will take you to the Remitta Retrieval Reference (RRR) page where you generate the RRR code.
  4. Print the RRR code page and take it to any bank for payment. Make sure you keep the RRR print out.
  5. After the payment of N10, 000.00 which is the cost of each admission form, return to the PTI website (pti.edu.ng) and click on “Return to my Application”.
  6. Enter your User Name and Password and click LOGIN
  7. Fill in the online application form and print out the completed online application form which will be presented at the examination/Interview centre along with your RRR print out.

DATE FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR GENERAL WELDING PROGRAMME:

The entrance examination for General Welding Certificate programme will hold at a date to be announced later at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State. Candidates are advised to report at Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State a day before the entrance examination to know their examination venue.

COMMERCIAL DIVING CERTIFICATE INTERVIEW COMMERCIAL: 

Diving Certificate interview will be held on 13th September, 2022 at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State

CLOSING DATE: 

Online application for General Welding and Commercial Diving Programmes closes on 29th July, 2022.

LATE APPLICATION: 

Late on-line sales of HND, General Welding and Commercial Diving admission forms commences from 1st August, 2022 and ends on 29th August, 2022 at the cost of Fifteen Thousand Naira Only (N15,000.00) per form.
