Lagos State Government Compulsory and Free Occupational Interest Inventory and Aptitude Test Schedule for Junior Secondary School, JSS 3 Students Transiting to Senior Secondary, SS1 in Public Schools for 2019/2020 Academic Session.
This is to inform all Parents, School Teachers and Principals that the Lagos State government has announced that an aptitude test and screening exercise in Occupational Interest Inventory will be conducted for 110,000 JSS3 students in public schools across the State effective from Monday, 6th May 2019.The reason for the conduct of the examination is to enable students identify their occupational interests, help them make better career decisions and prepare them towards achieving desired future goals.
The screening test will be in two stages; Aptitude Test and the Occupational Interest Inventory Test.
It is for students in JSS3 transiting into SS1 and designed to help the pupils in picking a career in Arts/Humanities, Science and Business Studies.
The results of the Aptitude and Occupational Interest Inventory Tests as well as the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will be considered in guiding and advising the pupils on their choice of subjects in Senior Secondary School.
Parents and Guardians should prepare their wards for the exercise slated to hold between 6th and 28th May 2019, as the screening will be administered by seasoned counselors in the six educational districts of the State which will be free and compulsory.
