Touch-A-Life (TAL) University Scholarship for SS3 Students 2019

Touch-A-Life (TAL) University Scholarship Application Form, Eligibility, Prize/Award, Application Guidelines and Closing Date for Senior Secondary Students {SS3} 2019/2020 Academic Session.

Touch-A-Life (TAL) is a non-profit organisation, whose mission is to provide resources that would encourage, inspire and challenge the  needy and transform their lives.

Education is a long term investment but an invaluable legacy to bequeath to any individual or community. Nelson Mandela called Education the greatest tool of transformation. This is why Touch-A-Life is now extending our Scholarship nationwide.

The aim of the Touch-A-Life Scholarship Is to provide the opportunity of a university education to brilliant students from less privileged background who, without an intervention, would be unable to further their studies beyond secondary level due to dire financial circumstances.

TAL hereby invites qualified SS3 students In State Government Secondary Schools in Nigeria to participate in the selection process for TAL Scholarships.

Description: 

The TAL Scholarship award is tenable in Nigerian State and Federal universities or State universities.

Value of Award: 

Full fee tuition up to, but not exceeding N100, 000 per student, per annum

Sponsorship Duration: 

For the whole duration of applicant's chosen course of study beginning from 2019/2020 academic session provided student achieve the stipulated grade in each year of study.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Application forms are available online (see active link below) and must be filled and submitted online.

Unique codes will be provided to each applicant through his/her Principal that will serve as his/her signature. In completing the form, applicants should
(a) Upload a passport size photograph
(b) Upload a copy of last School report
(c) Type their unique application signature code as well as their Principal's signature code in the space provided, These codes will serve as their signatures.

Application codes will be provided by Touch-A-Life to each School Principal on request.

Request should be made for each zone at once through the zonal ANCOPPS President to Touch-A-Life by either Email, SMS or Whats-app stating the Names of all Interested school in the zone, names of principals and their preferred contact detail. Touch-A-Life will then send each principal's and student signature codes to the principal of each school.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Applicants must be Nigerians and current SS3 Students in STATE GOVERNMENT SECONDARY SCHOOLS in Nigeria.
2. Must be academically able to study in Tertiary Institution in Nigeria.
3. Must be dire financial circumstances and be able to prove inability of his/her parents to afford his/her proposed tertiary education.
Priority will be given to orphans that are not well cared for children of poor widows and those in similar circumstances.
4. Must be proven by his/her current school head (and others) to be of exemplary conduct.
5. Maximum number of applicants is 3 per School.

Our final selection of scholars will have Science, and Art/Commercial students in a ratio of 2:1, therefore Principals might wish to nominate more of science students.

Shortlisted candidates and their Principals will be notified by SMS, E-MAIL or Whatsapp.

Applicants will be interviewed and a random sample of applicants' homes will be visited before awards are given to successful applicants.

Please note that obtaining University Admission is a part of our shortlisting process. The 2019 Touch-A-Life scholarship process ends in December 2019.
