Vice President Professor Yemi Osibanjo Honours Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, IAUE Graduate Mrs Josephine Obiageri with Scholarship to PhD Level.
The saying that hard work never kills but pays came true for a former student of the University when the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Friday April 26, 2019 honoured Anele Josephine Obiageri of the Department of Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education with Matriculation Number 2008/B.Ed/25629.The 2012 set graduate of the University received an award for working hard and was offered scholarship to study at any country of her choice up to Ph.D level by the Vice-president.
Anele Josephine Obiageri caught the attention of all when she single handedly taught English Language to five classes comprising arms A, B, C and D.
She also engaged more than seven hundred students on skills acquisition training on shoe polish, liquid soap making and others and carried out personal Community Development Service like Zebra-Crossing.
She built three well designed billboards as road signs for the Zebra-Crossing.
In addition to all these, Anele Josephine Obiageri distributed more than one thousand, five hundred customized notebooks to three different Local Government Areas in Kano State Government co-educational schools.
Beneficiaries of her projects wrote wonderful reports and commendations about her leading to the award by the Vice-president Professor Yemi Osinbanjo.
Ignatius Ajuru University of Education is no doubt living up to its responsibility of human capital development for the country.
