BSU Constitutes Special Task Force Dress Code on Campus

Benue State University (BSU) Management Inaugurates / Constitutes Special Task Force to Enforce Dress Code on Campus.

In a bid to ensure strict compliance with the new dress code, Management of the Benue State University, Makurdi, has constituted a Special Task Force to enforce the Dress Code on Campus.
The Task Force is made up of both Academic and Non-Teaching Staff, representatives of ASUU,NASU,SSANU, NAAT, the Students Union as well as Security Personnel of the University.
Students are advised to cooperate and support the Task Force by complying with the dress code of the University at all times.

With this new policy, Benue State University Students are expected to always dress decently and responsibly to command respect and protect their integrity.

This has become necessary as students are to note that compliance with these dress codes is non-negotiable as the University awards degrees and certificates not only for academic performance but for being “worthy in character and Learning”.

The 21-member Task Force/Committee members include: Professor Joseph Terwase Kerker, Dean of Students/Chairman, Mr. Johnson Agbaingyar, Sub-Chairman (Security Unit), Mr. Simon Baba (Security Unit), Mrs. Cynthia Nguwasen Godwin (Security Unit), Mr. Anzugh Tyotugh (Security Unit), Mrs. Phoebe Jija (Security Unit), Mrs. Ternenge Mbapum (Security Unit), Dr. Emmanuel Msugh Mbaawuaga (Representative of ASUU), Rev Sr. Dr. Justina N. Jor (Representative of ASUU) and Comrade Clement Igyu (Representative of SSANU).

Other members are: Comr. Onah Joseph Onaji (Representative of SSANU), Mr. Jack Eyimonye (Representative of NAAT), Mrs. Judith H.Tonguve Uzan (Representative of NAAT), Mr. Anyongo Emmanuel (Representative of NASU), Mrs. Sandra Iorkohol (Representative of NASU), Mr. Peter T. Pever-Ge (Representative Students Affairs Division), Abari Kumaden Vina (Representative Students Affairs Division),Mrs. Augustina Ngowase Baaka (Information & Public Relations Unit), Jude Atakpugh (Information & Public Relations Unit), Funmilayo Augustina Tolufashe (Deputy Registrar/Students Affairs Officer as the Secretary) and Abichele Adakole (Students Affairs Division).

Benue State University Students, Staff, visitors and the general public are hereby to note that there is a DRESS CODE put in place by the University which must be observed at all times.

The Task Force has since held her inaugural meeting in the Dean of Students Affairs Office to commence full enforcement of the Dress Code in the University.
