Benue State University Makurdi (BSUM) Part-Time Degree / Certificate Admission Form, Courses, Duration, Admission Requirements, Application Guidelines, Closing Date for 2020/2021 Academic Session.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the 2020/2021 Academic Year of the Centre for Continuing Education, Benue State University, Makurdi Part-Time programmes leading to the award of Degrees and Certificates.

Faculty of Arts Degree Courses:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) French
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Linguistics
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Philosophy
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Religious Studies

Faculty of Social Sciences Degree Course:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Public Administration

Certificate Courses:

  • Proficiency Certificate in French
  • Proficiency Certificate in Tiv Language
  • Certificate courses in Library and Information Science
  • Proficiency Certificate Course (PCC) (Peace/Conflict Resolution Forensic Studies)
  • Basic Certificate Course (BCC) (Basic Intelligence and Detective Studies, Nigeria)
  • Advanced Professional Course (APC) (Security and Professional Course)
  • Executive Managerial Course (EMC) (Peace/Reconciliation and Security Studies)

Duration of Programmes

Part-Time Degree

  • a. Six years (for Secondary School Certificate holders)
  • b. Five Years (for Post-Secondary School Certificate holders)

Certificate Courses

  • a. One year

Method of Application

i. Applicants are to apply through Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and process admission with JAMB Registration number.
ii. Visit the Benue State University portal on www.bsum.edu.ng or https://portal.bsum.edu.ng;
iii. Click on Part-Time (Under application on the University portal);
iv. Complete and print out pre-registration form;
v. Proceed to Fidelity Bank Plc and pay five thousand (N5, 000.00) naira only, using the generated Application Number.
vi. Re-visit the Benue State University Portal, complete the Application Form, and submit. Then print two hard copies of the completed form for reference purposes.
vii. The printed copies of Completed application forms must be returned, with photocopies of relevant certificates and credentials, to:
