Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Ogba Lagos State Special Programmes Training Admission Form, Courses, Requirements, Duration, Application Guidelines and Procedures for 2020/2021 Academic Session.

Authorities of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) hereby invites applications from interested candidates and the general public to their special short term training programmes training for 2020/2021 academic session.

The Special Programmes Department offers the following Short Term Programmes: 

  • Effective Writing and Communication:  Duration: 4 months. (Saturdays only) 
  • Photo Journalism: Duration: 4 months (Fridays and Saturdays) 
  • Basic Photography:  Duration: 2-Weeks. 
  • Speech Writing and PresentationDuration: 2 Days 
  • Sport Journalism: Duration : Two weeks (every day). 

The School runs specialised short-term courses for professional practitioners and intending practitioners in specialised areas of Mass Communication, Journalism and allied areas. 

There are such programmes as Photojournalism, News Writing and Reporting, Editing, Radio and Television Production amongst others.

We offer Face-to-face training. Bespoke Training: Any of our courses can be tailored to the specific needs of your team and brought in-house at a time that is convenient to you. Any of the courses we offer can be tailored to meet your specific needs on a date and at a location that is convenient for you. Alternatively, if you have a specific training requirement not already covered by us we are happy to design a course for you using our extensive pool of highly experienced trainers.
