  • Business Education (Accounting & Secretarial Studies),
  • Primary Education Studies(PES),
  • Early Childhood care
  • Education(ECCE),
  • Adult and Non-Formal Education, and
  • Mathematics.

Eligibility

  • Candidates who chose St Augustine's College of Education (SACOED) and scored 100 and above are eligible.
  • Prospective candidates who wish to study in SACOED  are eligible to apply for Post-UTME registration even if they did not choose SACOED as their choice of institution. 
  • Nevertheless, such candidates must effect Change of Institution/Course to SACOED on the JAMB Portal immediately. This is also applicable to Direct Entry (DE) candidates. 
  • Successful candidates who may be offered provisional admission to St Augustine's College of Education (SACOED) are advised to accept the offer immediately to avoid loss of the admission.
  • All candidates are advised to use the same phone number(s) and email address used during JAMB registration for easy communication.

General Admission Requirements

  • - A Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSC) NECO, or GCE 'O' Level with passes in 5 subjects including English Language, three of which must be at Credit level at the same sitting or four credits as two sitting. Two of the credits must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to offer. Credits in English and / or Mathematics may be required in some courses.
  • - A grade ll Teacher's Certificate (TC ll) with credit or merit in three subjects, two of which must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to offer as his/her specialization. Credit/Merit in English Language and for Mathematics may be a requirement in some courses
  • - For candidate wishing to offer courses in vocational and Technical Education, RSA or City and Guilds intermediate Certificate, and the Federal Craft Training Certificate (FCTC) with Credit / Merit in at least four subjects are acceptable qualifications.
  • - Associateship Certificate in Education awarded by an approved institution in Nigeria or aboard, is an acceptable qualification.
  • - All candidates wishing to be considered for admission must pass through an examination organized by accredited body such as JAMB.
  • - Successful candidates in the pre-N CE final examinations who take and succeed in a selection examination organized by an accredited body are also qualified for admission
  • lt should be noted that some colleges may in addition to all of the above administer their own elimination tests and, or, interviews for some courses. This is legitimate.
  • - Credit passes in at least five subjects in the GCE ordinary level or the· SSCE or equivalent at one sitting or credit passes in at least six subjects in the GCE. Ordinary level or the SSCE or equivalent at not more than two sittings;
  • - Two year Diploma Certificate from any University in relevant subjects with at least a credit pass overall

Application forms are Obtainable at St Augustine’s College of Education, 2 Moronfolu Street Akoka Lagos at Bursary Department between 9.00 a.m and 4p.m on Mondays through Friday or at www.sacoed.edu.ng/admission.

  4. Fill in all the remaining details on the page before clicking on PROCEED button.
  5. Pre-Payment Preview page will be displayed to confirm your entered details.
  6. Ensure you entered your valid email address and phone number.
  7. Then Click on PREVIEW button.
  8. Then Applicants must click on Continue Application After Payment and log in with their PIN and Phone Number used in the Start Application for programme section.
