for admission in to the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto NCE and pre-NCE programmes for 2020/2021 Academic session.

Eligibility
- Candidates who choose SSCOE Sokoto as their FIRST CHOICE ONLY
- Candidates who scored the approved JAMB Minimum Cut-off Marks.
- Candidates who wish to be admitted into the NCE programmes are requested to visit the nearest JAMB office to update their JAMB form by making SSCOE as their FIRST CHOICE. Failure to make the aforementioned update may result to admission rejection.
The college runs full time courses in NCE, and remedial programmes in Pre-NCE, Grade II TC and SSCE.
Currently there are twenty-seven academic departments offering over sixty course-combinations in NCE.

Admission Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirement for NCE and Pre-NCE Programme
i) Single Major Courses: For the minimum entry requirement in most of the NCE single major courses, a candidate must have 3 credits and 2 passes in SSCE results or 2 merits and 2 passes hi ease of Grade II teacher certificate.. However, two of the credits/merits must be relevant to the chosen course of study with at least a pass in English Language and Mathematics.ii) Double Major courses: The minimum admission requirement generally for NCE double major courses is as follows:
a) Business Education Studies: A candidate must record a minimum of 3 credits out of which 2 credits must be in business related courses, or 2 merits in case of Grade II teacher certificate. The third credit / merit should be in English Language
b) Agricultural Science: A minimum of 3 credits or 3 merits (TC II) is required of a candidate in any three of the following courses: Agricultural Science, Biology/Health Science, Physics, Chemistry, Geography and Economics
iii) Science courses: A candidate for NCE science courses must have at least 3 credits/merits (TC II), 2 of which must be related to the chosen course of study; and a credit in mathematics. iv) In each of the cases stated above, the results (i.e. number of credits/merits) must be attained by the candidate at a single sitting examination.
A minimum of 4 credits and 3 passes from 2 separate sittings of examinations will be required for the same admission.
v) Pre-NCE courses: Admission into the Pre-NCE courses requires a candidate with at least a credit and passes in related chosen courses plus English Language and Mathematics.
- A holder of SSCE/NECO with 3 credits and 2 passes including English Language in not more than 2 sittings. 2 of these credits must be in the relevant areas.
- A holder of TCII with 3 credits/merits in the relevant area and some passes including English Language.
- Other requirements(for Pre-NCE Islamic Studies only).
A. Candidates with the Senior Islamic Studies (S.L.S) Certificate in Arabic and Islamic Studies from recognized institutions will be considered for admission provided they have not less than 3 credits/merits which include Islamic Studies and Arabic and at least two passes including English at not more than two sittings.
B. Higher Islamic Studies (H.I.S) Certificate with at least 3 credits or merits and two passes including English, at not more than two sittings.
vi) Acceptable Results: For the purpose of admission into the NCE and Pre-NCE courses, the College mainly recognizes the post-primary educational certificates or statement of results issued by the national examination bodies such as the WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and NTI or their equivalence.

Your picture to be uploaded MUST conform with the following:

* Exactly 150px by 150px
* Recent Photograph
* Of good quality
* Of plain white background
C. If you have receive your payment notification, CLICK HERE TO LOG INTO YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION/SCREENING ACCOUNT.
D. Enter your username(Transaction ID) and password(Your registered phone no) to log in.
E. If successful, you will be redirected to a welcome page, click on the appropriate link below the image on the on the left side of the portal page and enter the correct application/screening information. NB: Click on the links to expand the input areas.
F. After making all the relevant entries, click on the submit button to submit your application/screening. Click on the VIEW link to preview your submissions. You can correct any information by clicking on the EDIT link and repeating the process above.
G. If satisfied with you submission, click on the PRINT button and print a copy of the application/screening acknowledgement form and keep for your personal usage.
H. Please note that if your application/screening has been submitted successfully, the RED Indicator/icon in front of the links would turn GREEN. Then proceed to the next step.
