DSPZ Remedial Exam Form, Lectures & Exam Notice 2020/2021
Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro (DSPZ) Remedial Exam Registration Form, Eligibility, Duration, Fees/Payment, Registration Guidelines, Remedial Class Time-Table, Remedial Examination Time-Table, Mode of Examination for 2020/2021 Academic Session.

The Rector/Chairman of the Academic Board, Professor Akpodiete O.J has graciously approved the commencement of the remedial classes and examination for the 2020/2021 session.


To this effect, each of the students concerned is to register for the Remedial Examination with the sum of ten thousand (10,000).

Arising from the above, registration for the Remedial Classes and Examination for the 2020/2021 session has commenced and end on Thursday, 13th January, 2022.

NB: This is to inform all concerned students that Management has directed that student car owners should pack their cars outside the School Compound during the 2020/2021 remedial examinations scheduled to commence on 17th to 22nd, January, 2022.

Latest Update: The Remedial Examination Committee considered the above mentioned subject and noted several appeals from students concerning the limited time to check the Second Semester Results 2020/2021 session and registration process for the remedial examination.

The Committee therefore, reschedules the examination exercise as indicated below:

a. Registration of Course
The Registration process will close on Thursday, 13th January, 2022 to give the students the opportunity to check results and complete their registration process.

b. Submission of Students Proforma
Heads of Department are to submit the Proforma to the Chairman's Office/Coordinator Polytechnic Programme on or before Friday, 14th January, 2022

The Committee will issue examination booklets to the respective Department with regard to a number of registered student(s) within twenty-four hours (24hrs) to the date of each Course as indicated in the examination timetable.

c. Conduct of Examination
i. Examination for all First Semester courses are to commence from 17th to 22nd, January, 2022
ii. Examination for all Second Semester courses are to commence from 24th to 29th, January, 2022
iii. Lecturers are to submit results on or before Thursday 3rd February, 2022
iv. Departmental and School Board Meetings are to be held on Tuesday, 8th and Thursday, 10th February, 2022 respectively.
v. Presentation and consideration al Remedial Examination Results in Academic Board scheduled for Tuesday, 15th February, 2022

The above is for your information and strict compliance, please.

A. Eligibility:

  • Students eligible to register are those who ought to have graduated by the last session. 2020/2021 but could not because of pending failed courses.
  • Students currently on extension due to failure in one or more courses, and have not exceeded the maximum registration periods.
  • For the avoidance of doubts. students eligible to register are those admitted in 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019 & 2020/2021 sessions who ought to have graduated but could not because of pending failed courses.
  • However, students on suspension or rusticated/expelled from the Polytechnic for whatever reason are not eligible to take part in the Remedial classes or examination

B. Duration:

The programme duration is as given below:
i. Registration (Commences in October and end on 13th January, 2022.)
ii. Three weeks of revision classes. Revision classes shall be from 1pm to 6:00pm daily.
iii. Two weeks of examination.

C. Fees/Payment:

Eligible students, who are interested in the program are to obtain a bank draft from either Unity Bank or First Bank Ozoro in favour of Delta state Polytechnic, covering the following non-refundable fees:
  • N10,000 registration fees 
  • N5,000 per course to be taken by the student. 

D. Registration

  • Students are to make payment through Bank-draft in favour of Delta State a. C. 1. Polytechnic. Ozoro from First Bank Plc or Unity Bank, Ozoro
  • The registration fee is fifteen thousand naira (N15,000.00) along with the payment of five hundred naira (N500.00) per course.
  • The total amount paid inclusive of the registration fee and the number of course(s) to register would be converted from Bank-draft to Polytechnic receipt at the Bursary Department.

Registration of Course

Students are to collect, fill and return the course registration form to their respective Department with Remedial Examination boldly written on top of their registration form. Only registered students will be allowed to sit for the examination.

NB: The Registration process will close on Thursday, 13th January, 2022 to give the students the opportunity to check results and complete their registration process.

b. Submission of Students Proforma

Heads of Department are to submit the Proforma to the Chairman's Office/Coordinator Polytechnic Programme on or before Friday, 14th January, 2022.

Payment of School Fees

it is however pertinent to remind students who have not paid their school fees to do so or a prerequisite for being qualified in the first instance to write the remedial examinations.

E. Remedial Class Time Table 

The HODs are to prepare and publish the Remedial Class Time Table of the department

Revision classes shall be from 1pm to 6:00pm daily.

All courses in both first and second semesters in ND I, ND II, HNDI,  HND II should be accommodated as some students may take courses across levels.

The remedial classes are to be taken by Lecturers who taught the courses in the immediate past session, who will also examine the students.

F. Remedial Examination Time Table:

This is to inform members of staff and students that the Remedial Examination Committee has shifted the registration process for the Remedial Examination, 2020/2021 session by one week.

i. Examination for all First Semester courses are to commence from 17th to 22nd, January, 2022
ii. Examination for all Second Semester courses are to commence from 24th to 29th, January, 2022
iii. Lecturers are to submit results on or before Thursday 3rd February, 2022
iv. Departmental and School Board Meetings are to be held on Tuesday, 8th and Thursday, 10th February, 2022 respectively.
v. Presentation and consideration al Remedial Examination Results in Academic Board scheduled for Tuesday, 15th February, 2022.

G. Mode of Examination

Students' assessment shall be 100% examination, which shall be by paper and pen mode of examination.
