2. The Two Shades of Blue represent the Waters of Lagos State, with all the cultural aesthetic and economic implications pertaining to them. The Black Colour stands for Technology and Urban Pull.

The University colours are Yellow, Blue, Gold and Black. The Motto of the University is "For Truth and Service"
