LASU School Of Transport Gets $43,000 Grant for Research

Lagos State University School of Transportation has Received a Notice of Financial Support of the Sum of Forty-Three Thousand Dollars ($43,000) from the Kuhne Foundation, Schindellegi, Switzerland, for Academic and Research Activities for the Year 2020.

The Kuhne Foundation contributed Twenty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($29,000) while the Foundation sourced the remaining Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000) on behalf of the University from the Gates (Bill & Melinda) Foundation towards the grant.

Recall that the Lagos State University through the School of Transport (LASUSOT) on Thursday, 26th August, 2019, signed an MoU with Kuhne Foundation. The Foundation also sponsored the Dean, School of Transport, Prof. S.G Odewunmi and Mr Ibrahim Forson, to Rwanda and Ethiopia for the Train-the-Trainer and Conference Programmes respectively while Dr. Ugboma was sponsored to Berlin, Germany, for Logistics Conference.

The following officials of the University are acknowledged to have played a key role in the actualization of the grant:

1. Professor A. O. Adewuya- Ag. Provost, LASUCOM & Former, Director, Linkages, Partnership and collaborations.

2. Professor A. G. Olagunju- Dean, Postgraduate School.

3. Professor O. O. Odusanya- Director, Research Management & Innovation.

4. Mrs. O. O. Olanrewaju_John- Diretor, Academic Planning Unit.
