IMSU Shuts Down Academic Activities over Corona Virus Pandemic

Imo State University (IMSU) Shuts Down Academic Activities Indefinitely Over Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic.

Following the emergency meeting of Imo State University Senate held today being Monday 23rd March, 2020 at the Senate building, it was resolved that the university be shutdown INDEFINITELY to stem the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

To this end, the university is hereby closed to academic activities and other social events indefinitely and with immediate effect.

All staff and students are directed to vacate the campus without further delay.

"Please ensure that you follow the basic protective measures put in place to ameliorate the spread of this virus because prevention is better than cure", the memo reads.

Suspended examinations as a result of the ASUU strike will continue when the school resumes academic activities.
