Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil Extends Upward Review of School Fees and Charges to Next Session 2020/2021 Academic Session.
Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil have extended the implementation of the upward review of registration fees and charges to 2020/2021 Academic Session.A press release signed by the Deputy Registrar information and public relations of the university, Malam Sa'idu Abdullahi Nayaya, stated that the decision was reached at the 94th meeting of the university senate, held on Thursday.
It could be recalled that the university had earlier on Wednesday announced the upward review of the fees and charges with effect from 2019/2020 academic session.
The university resolve to extend the implementation of the new fees schedule to next session was as a result of the intervention of the visitor to the university and kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who pledged to support the university with the shortfall for 2019/2020 academic session.
The management of the university therefore acknowledges and appreciate the magnanimous contribution of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to the university, urging parents and guardians to also join the university in appreciating the visitors kind gesture.
Meanwhile, the vice chancellor on behalf of the university community welcomes both new and returning students for the commencement of 2019/2020 academic session, urging them to face their studies with all seriousness.
The release announced 8th march 2020, as the date for the commencement of new academic session.
KUST REVIEW OF REGISTRATION CHARGES
The Senate of the Kano State University of Science and Technology, Wudil at its 93rd meeting held on Wednesday 26th February, 2020 has reviewed Registration fees and charges upwards.The purpose is to harmonize the charges in the University with that obtains in other Public Universities in the Country.
To that end, Returning Kano State Students will now pay Thirty Thousand Eight Hundred (N30, 800.00) and fresh students Thirty Three Thousand Five Hundred (N 33,500.00), as against the Twenty One Thousand Five Hundred (N 21,500.00) and Twenty Three Thousand Two Hundred (N 23, 200), they were paying before.
Non indigenes and Foreign Students are to pay Fourty Four Thousand Eight Hundred (N 44,800.00) and Ninety Nine Thousand Six Hundred (N 96,000.00) Tuition fees, respectively.
This is in addition to the normal registration fees and charges of the University. In the same vein, the Senate has reviewed upwards, its fees and charges on Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), Student Work Experience Programme (SWEP), Field Courses and Trips.
The Accommodation charges have also been reviewed from Five Thousand Ninety Naira (N5,090.00) to Ten Thousand Ninety Naira (N10,090.00), par session.
