Anambra State Polytechnic (ANSPOLY) Orders Staffs on Duties to Go Home, Plans on Adoption of Online Academic Activities / Lectures to Curtail the Spread of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic.

Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu (ANSPOLY) has once again applauded the State Government's Proactive measures against the killer virus, Covid-19 and reassures its commitment to always partner with the Government in ensuring that the Noble missions and visions as well as the Directives are brought to bare at all times.

In a statement, the Rector of the State-owned Polytechnic, ANSPOLY, Dr. Nneka C. Mefoh, appealed to all the Staff and Students of the Institution as well as the general public to adhere strictly to the Executive Order by the proactive, indefatigable and willingly working Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief (Dr) Sir Willie M. Obiano Akpokuo dike Global in order to survive these trying times occasioned by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The Public Relations, Information and Communication, Protocol Officer of the Polytechnic, Comrade Chukwuanu Sunday Okagbue, Anipr, stated that the Rector had earlier complied with the directives on the shutdown of the tertiary institutions. She directed the staff and students to arrange for and continue having online tutorials and lectures.

In releasing the directive for the shutdown, the Registrar, Dr. Samuel Nnana Esq. advised all to conduct themselves in such a manner as to protect themselves from unhealthy practices likely to predispose them to Coronavirus infection. The precautionary measures include social distancing, personal hygiene, use of sanitizers and early reporting of suspected Coronavirus cases.

Consequently, all staff are encouraged to go home with all their necessary working materials and equipment, and to adopt online academic activities through their respective course representatives, to enable the timely completion of necessary academic work. This is very crucial in ensuring that the noble ideals of His Excellency in Making the young ANSPOLY a Brand in pioneering the course of producing middle and high level man power graduates that can compete favorably in technology and human development.

Also the Rector appreciates the efforts of the state team on COVID 19, the media, public spirited individuals and ndi Anambra and encouraged all to back all efforts with prayers so that God in His infinite mercies will roll away the stone of the pandemic.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Okagbue said that the Staff and Students have since complied with the directive and assured that, as the Rector directed, the Staff and Students of ANSPOLY will be frontliners in the campaign and war against man's common enemy, Coronavirus by taking the narrative to the grassroots and bringing the safety messages of the Government to them without compromising and without relenting. This, among other things, is one of the way the Polytechnic community will help the Government in its concerted efforts to contain the spread of the pandemic.

The Rector, he stated, prayed God to continue to be with His Excellency Chief (Dr) Sir Willie M. Obiano Akpokuo dike Global, Executive Governor of Anambra State and his family, and cabinet as he works for the good of Ndi Anambra and Humanity.

She admonished all to Stay Home and Stay Safe to Stay Alive

Meanwhile, the PRO, Mr. Chukwuanu Sunday Okagbue, Anipr, who has since started the campaign in response to the Rector's, State Government's, Federal Government's and Global Directives, prayed God to cure Humanity and heal our world.
