This is to inform the General Public and candidates who sat for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that the board has announced the dates for the 2022 admission policy meeting where the admission cut-off marks for this year's admission exercise will deliberated on and eventually announced.
The Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu has approved Thursday 21st July 2022 for policy meeting where the cut-off mark and other modalities for the 2022/2023 admission would be decided.
The meeting is expected to be chaired by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu with all heads of tertiary institutions in attendance.
Apart from the announcement of the minimum admission cut-off, the meeting will chart policy directions for the nation’s tertiary institutions, set admission guidelines, and make a holistic review of application statistics, performance, decide concessional and acceptable minimum admissions standards to be applied in all admissions to be undertaken by all tertiary institutions in Nigeria as well as evaluate the 2022 admission exercise.
Last year, the idea of a general cut-off mark was scrapped and institutions were allowed to decide their own minimum cut–off marks. We'll see if there will be any notable difference this year.
As usual. we will bring you all updates from the meeting on that day.
The meeting, would be streamed live on the Board’s website; www.jamb.gov.ng, its facebook, JAMBulletin and other social media platforms.
We on our part will ensure to keep all our member's updated on the outcome of the 2021 JAMB Admission Policy meeting during and after the meeting on the above announced dates.
