COVID-19: National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprise (ENGINE) Community Development Service (CDS) Group Launches Online Platform for Free Online Classes for JSS1 to SS3 Students During the Lockdown Period.

The NYSC Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprise (ENGINE) Community Development Service (CDS) Group has partnered with the NYSC Gender Vanguard CDS Group and a reputable Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) to make education accessible to all secondary school students in Nigeria as a response to the Covid-19 Lockdown which has made it unable for these students to resume studies.

The partnership has resulted in the setting up of online classes by Corps Members and creation of tailored courses for each class in line with the Federal Ministry of Education approved scheme of work. This will keep the students active and ensure that they ease back into school seamlessly when the lockdown is called off.

This initiative has also gone a step further to create Skills Acquisition Courses In addition to their basic curriculum incorporating life skills, digital skills and entrepreneurship classes.
