Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Application Statistics By Institutions in Nigeria [Top 10 Most Applied / Sought for Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education & Innovation Enterprise Institutes (IEI's)] for 2021/2022 Session.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has released the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME list of top 10 most sough Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education in Nigeria following the closure for the sales of 2021 UTME forms.It will be recalled that the board announced that a total number of 1.3 million candidates registered for the 2021 UTME examination which was held in June, 2021.

UNILORIN which was the first had 78,466 applications, UNILAG had 59,190, University of Benin, 49,763; University of Nigeria, Nsukka, 47,239; Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, 45,920; Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, 44,509; Bayero University, 44,352; Nnamdi Azikiwe University, 43542; Obafemi Awolowo University, 42, 614 and University of Jos, 38,309.The report also identified extortion of candidates by some centres during registration as a major challenge the board experienced.
