Gombe State University (GSU) Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Admission Screening Form, Eligibility, Cut-Off Mark, Requirements, Screening Of Credentials, Aptitude Test Date, Time and Venue, Application Guidelines and Deadline for 2022/2023 Academic Session [UPDATED].
Applications are hereby invited from suitable candidates for admission into the Gombe State University (GOMSU) Undergraduate Programme for 2022/2023 Session.

The Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) Aptitude Test online application for candidates commences on a Monday, 17th October 2022.


    • All candidates who applied to the University as First Choice.
    • Scored a minimum of 150 points in the UTME. for Degree Programmes in Science, Education, and Arts and Social Sciences
    • Scored a minimum of 200 points in the UTME, for Medicine, Pharmacy and Law Programmes. (Candidates with less than 200 points particularly for Medicine and Pharmacy Programmes, are advised to immediately change to other alternative Programmes such as B.Sc: Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology; B.Sc (Ed): Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, Mathematics and Physics etc).
    • Possessed an NCE/IJMB/Advanced Level GCE/Diploma for Direct Entry

    Candidates who applied for admission are STRONGLY advised to upload their SSCE/NECO/NABTEB results to JAMB website (CAPS) at any nearest JAMB Accredited CBT Centre. Failure to do so would deny Candidates Admission.


    This is to inform all candidates who have applied for admission into the various degree programmes of Gombe State University for the 2022/2023 academic session and have made Gombe State University a first choice institution that the cut-off marks for admission into the various faculties are as follows;

    • Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences - 150 points and above
    • Faculty of Education - 150 points and above
    • Faculty of Science - 170 points and above
    • MBBS, Pharmacy, Law - 200 points and above

    Accordingly, candidates with less than 200 points particularly for medicine, Pharmacy and law programmes are advised to immediately change to other alternative programmes

    Eligible candidates shall visit the University portal: to register for the Online Screening Exercise as follows

    1. Enter Jamb Registration Number and Click. Get Details Now to retrieve Your Details
    2. Enter Email address and Pay a Non-refundable Screening charge of Two Thousand Naira (2.000)
    3. Click “Proceed to Form
    4. Fill the Form to create UTME/DE Screening Account
    5. Click Register
    6. Candidate’s details captured will be displayed
    7. Click “Generate Data Form
    8. A PDF File of three pages shall be generated
      1. Page 1 of the PDF captures candidate’s Registration details
      2. Page 2 is the candidate’s Post-UTME Test I.D. Card
      3. Page 3 is Form Submission Acknowledgement Slip

    Print the three pages and attach photocopies of all credentials to page 1 and submit them to the Academic Office.

    The dates of Post-UTME Test (CBT) will be communicated to You through the Email Address and GSM Numbers You Provided on the form.

    Candidates are to note that they must ensure strict adherence to all the Covid-19 Advisories and Protocol on large gatherings through the processes of the Screening Exercise


    The requirements includes the following:
    Candidates should bring along original and photocopies of their credentials for the screening exercise as follows:
    (a) Jamb result slip for the 2022 UTME Or Online registration slip for the Direct Entry.
    (b) Two coloured passport size photographs.
    (c) Writing materials.
    (d) Payment receipt of the Non-refundable Pre-registration processing charges paid via remita.
