West African Examination Council (WAEC) Announces Official Date for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations for School Candidates (May/June).
Information reaching us confirmed that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has announced Tuesday 21st April, 2026 as the new date for commencement of the 2026 WASSCE for School Candidates (May/June) Examinations.RECOMMENDED: WASSCE Timetable for School Candidates [May/June].
The arrangement is in line with the current academic calendar and was done in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education.
WAEC 2026 EXAM DATE FOR SCHOOL CANDIDATES
Consequently, the Council wishes to inform schools, candidates and the general public that the examination will hold from Tuesday 21st April to Friday 19th June, 2026.
The International timetable for the conduct of the examination has been released and published online in due course.
All stakeholders should please be so guided.
WASSCE is a standardized test conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for senior secondary school students in the graduating class.
