Lagos State University (LASU) Tasks Students on Safety and Security Consciousness, Restricts Movement of Students on the Main Campus of the University, Imposes Curfew between the hours of 6:30a.m and 6:30p.m daily.
The University Management hereby calls on students of the University to maintain vigilance and security consciousness in and outside the University campus at all times to avoid falling into the traps of unscrupulous criminal elements. Management notes that the worsening rate of insecurity demands that students exercise extra care and avoid moving alone in late hours, especially at deserted areas.
Management also reiterates its earlier directive on the restriction of movement of students in and outside the University to 6:30am and 6:30pm respectively. This implies that no student is permitted to enter or exit the university campus before 6:30am and after 6:30 pm daily.
In addition, students are encouraged to reach out to men of the security unit whenever they observe suspicious activities around them in the University campus, for swift assistance.
Finally, all students are reminded to download and use the LASU Monitor App, a security and safety App, designed by the Directorate of ICT, which enables users to report danger and call for help in real time.
